Château La Négly is a prestigious wine estate located in the La Clape massif near Fleury-d’Aude in southern France, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The estate dates back to the 18th century and gained international recognition in the early 1990s when Jean Paux-Rosset and his wife transformed the family property with a strong focus on quality and terroir expression. The vineyard covers around 50 hectares of clay-limestone soils influenced by sea breezes and maritime conditions, giving the wines freshness, minerality and a subtle saline character. Château La Négly practices sustainable viticulture and is certified High Environmental Value (HVE), with all grapes harvested by hand to ensure optimal quality. The main grape varieties include Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault for red wines, and Bourboulenc, Clairette, Marsanne, Roussanne and Vermentino for white wines. The estate produces red, white and rosé wines under the AOP La Clape, Languedoc and IGP Pays d’Oc appellations, known for their elegance, balance and complexity, and many cuvées have received high praise from international wine critics.
