GENERAL SECRETARIAT OF ISTANBUL EXPORTERS’ ASSOCIATIONS
Istanbul Exporters’ Associations (IEA), operating under the Ministry of Trade, is a semi-governmental institution that began its activities in 1940. Today, IEA comprises seven sectoral associations, each representing a distinct field and serving the diverse needs of Türkiye’s export industries. These associations are: Istanbul Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association, Istanbul Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products Exporters’ Association, Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, Istanbul Hazelnut and Hazelnut Products Exporters’ Association, Istanbul Fishery and Animal Products Exporters’ Association, Istanbul Dried Fruit and Products Exporters’ Association, and Ship and Yacht Exporters’ Association.
In fulfilling its mission, IEA strengthens Türkiye’s foreign trade by supporting exporters, ensuring compliance with regulations, facilitating market access, and enhancing competitiveness through research, training, trade missions, and coordination of national participation in international fairs.
Within this framework, Istanbul Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association operates as a member organization under IEA, representing companies in five main categories: Alcoholic Beverages, Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Frozen Products, Canned/Preserved Products, and Fresh Fruits and Vegetables. Together, these categories encompass vegetables and roots, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, frozen items, processed preparations such as sauces and pastes, and beverages.
Türkiye combines traditional production with modern technology and internationally recognized standards to sustain a competitive alcoholic beverages sector, with fertile soils and diverse climates providing high-quality grapes and fruits, while ISO-, HACCP-, and TSE-certified facilities ensure global quality and safety. Wine remains a leading product due to Türkiye’s ancient viticulture heritage and the rich diversity of indigenous grape varieties.
Istanbul Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association supports the alcoholic beverages sector by guiding exporters on regulatory compliance, enhancing market access, and promoting capacity building in areas such as quality, branding, sustainability, and supply-chain management. For wine producers, it organizes Türkiye’s national pavilions at major international fairs, including Prowein in Düsseldorf and Wine Paris, providing a platform to showcase Turkish wines. Beyond these dedicated wine exhibitions, the Association also promotes Turkish wines at other international sectoral fairs - such as yacht, fishery, and animal products exhibitions - through tasting and promotional stands, ensuring broader visibility across complementary industries.
Büyülübağ winery is established by Alp Törüner on Avşa Island, Marmara Sea, Türkiye. The island with a history of viticulture and wine making since 1800’s, has a unique microclimate and sandy-loam soil. Our vision is to grace the island’s indigeneous, Geographical Indication (GI) grape variety ‘Ada Karası’ with international awareness and to exploit the potential of the well-adapted cosmopolitan grape varieties in the Avşa Island’s terroir. At present Büyülübağ has 20 hectares of vineyards consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Ada Karası. The best fitted root stocks are chosen resulting from the soil climate analysis conducted in France. Hand harvested grapes are sorted on two separate vibrating tables. Most of the wines are wild fermented with skin yeast. With our gravity flow winery, which is the first and only one of its kind in Türkiye, Büyülübağ ensures that wine movement is slower, and therefore gentler and more controllable. The resulting wine is better because it has been moved in a more delicate manner that preserves its inherent qualities. The underground barrel cellar has a natural 70% annual average of humidity and 14°C of heat. The cellar consists of Burgundy and Bordeaux style 225 lt. French oak barrels. Today Büyülübağ Winery and Vineyards produce stylish, elegant and rich wines that already won medals at national and international wine competitions.
Nestled in the historic heart of Thrace, Turkey, Chamlija Winery embodies the renaissance of Turkish winemaking. Founded in 2007 by visionary entrepreneur Mustafa Çamlıca—a dedicated fine wine investor—the estate draws its name from his talented daughter, Irem Çamlıca, whose stunning artwork adorns every bottle, blending art and terroir into a captivating experience. Located in the Kirklareli province, once known as Lozengrad or "The City of Vines," Chamlija's vineyards span over 130 hectares across the ancient Strandja Massif, a 1.5-billion-year-old volcanic landscape near the Bulgarian border. This unique terroir features a mosaic of decomposed granite, limestone, clay, quartz pebbles, and terra rossa soils, fostering vines planted at ultra-high densities—up to 10,000 per hectare—to encourage deep roots and profound expression of place. Sustainably dry farmed with low-intervention practices, Chamlija honors both indigenous Turkish grapes like Papaskarasi and international varieties.

Kuzubağ Estate Winery was founded in 2007 when we first planted the vineyards in our hometown of Çal, Denizli, Turkey. Conscious of the region’s distinctive terroir and honoring its centuries-old winemaking heritage, we set out slowly to establish an estate showcasing indigenous Turkish grapes as well as classic varietals. After patiently waiting 13 years for the vineyards to mature, we embarked on constructing a 3000 square metre contemporary winery discreetly embedded into the landscape at the very heart of the estate. After completion in 2021 we celebrated our first vintage.
As a family with deep roots in the land and culture of the region, Kuzubağ aims to respect and connect the vine, the soil and the people. We strive to draw local and international attention to the rich history of our viticulture and highlight the unique character of the grapes in the bottle by producing high quality yet accessible wines.
Known as Mossyna in ancient Greece, the region of Çal is situated on a plateau 850 - 1100 metres above sea level. With the Büyük Menderes River flowing nearby, the terroir is defined by its distinctive clay-loam and calcareous soil and the wide ranging temperatures between day and night, with average fluctuations of 19°C. All 50 hectares of the estate’s vineyards are within the borders of Çal and are carefully tended throughout the year. The grapes are grown with modern viticultural techniques; using the low yield principle, then harvested by hand before sunrise and gravity-fed processed. Kuzubağ wines are certified organic.
At Paşaeli, we are pioneers of Turkish wine scene, dedicated to

native treasures in their ideal terroirs, capturing their authentic
character in every bottle. Our wines are elegant, fruit-forward,
and balanced — lush upon release and crafted to age gracefully,
reflecting the soul of their origins.
Proudly representing Turkey on the global stage, we honor our
land’s rich heritage while producing wines of uncompromising
quality. Paşaeli is shaping the future of Turkish winemaking —
blending history with innovation, tradition with vision.

Winter pruning, green harvest and leaf removal is being performed during the year and a manual harvest directed by expert winegrowers. Times of harvest are determined by the ripeness of the grapes. The timing is based on the winemaker’s decision according to the style of wine to be produced. The harvest is always at dawn break and the grapes are sent to wineries cold rooms rightaway to ensure their characteristics have been preserved.
Urla Winery has adopted as its mission to make Urla a wine region similar to those successful examples abroad and feels indebted to take the Karaburun Peninsula, which was an essential winemaking centre in the past, to those fine days of history or even farther. This is why taking creative, competitive and unique steps in each and every field of its activities occupies the first place among its basic values.
Being decisive of opening up new doors by reanimating and diversifying a phenomenon in the historical texture of the region which is being gradually renowned in touristic terms, Urla Şarapçılık has started off with the belief of producing the select “Urla Boutique Wine” (château wine) which it believes will attract attention and respect all over the world some day. In our approximately 750 acres of vineyard, we are making production with completely good agricultural practices and annually we obtain approximately 250 thousand liters of high quality boutique wine. Besides the fact that it has all the traditional meanings of “good agricultural” practice, we embrace our vision not only to protect the natural resources, but also to understand and to enrich the natural resources in all our practices. Our primary production policy is to get qualified, refined products in which the quality comes to the fore. Urla Şarapçılık aims to contribute to the development of the area in viticulture and winemaking. It carries out its production in its own controlled vineyards with a range of domestic and foreign select wine grape varieties. Besides, it also continues its R&D studies with The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey in order to select the clones of some varieties which have long vanished in the region so that they may be recovered for the wine world.
At Vinkara, we are dedicated to produce wines that reflect the unique terroir of Kalecik, near Ankara - the capital city of Türkiye - combining local grapes with international standards. The journey began with a mission to revive Anatolia’s rich winemaking heritage and present local grape varieties at a global level of quality.
There are varieties of the sparkling wine, Yaşasın, which has been awarded several times by Effervescents du Monde® and high quality of wines in Grand Reserve, Reserve, Atelier segments. The grapes are mainly indigenous and local ones.
Kalecik terroir is a remarkable blend of history and geography, beyond its distinct physical and geological features. Historically, the area has been deeply rooted in an extraordinary viticulture and winemaking tradition that dates back over 4,000 years, shaped by the Hattians and Hittites. This rich cultural heritage has permeated the soil, becoming an intrinsic part of the land’s identity. Geographically, the Kızılırmak River plays a pivotal role in enabling viticulture in this high-altitude region with its harsh climate, making it a critical factor in Kalecik’s terroir.
