Urla Winery has adopted as its mission to make Urla a wine region similar to those successful examples abroad and feels indebted to take the Karaburun Peninsula, which was an essential winemaking centre in the past, to those fine days of history or even farther. This is why taking creative, competitive and unique steps in each and every field of its activities occupies the first place among its basic values.
Being decisive of opening up new doors by reanimating and diversifying a phenomenon in the historical texture of the region which is being gradually renowned in touristic terms, Urla Şarapçılık has started off with the belief of producing the select “Urla Boutique Wine” (château wine) which it believes will attract attention and respect all over the world some day. In our approximately 750 acres of vineyard, we are making production with completely good agricultural practices and annually we obtain approximately 250 thousand liters of high quality boutique wine. Besides the fact that it has all the traditional meanings of “good agricultural” practice, we embrace our vision not only to protect the natural resources, but also to understand and to enrich the natural resources in all our practices. Our primary production policy is to get qualified, refined products in which the quality comes to the fore. Urla Şarapçılık aims to contribute to the development of the area in viticulture and winemaking. It carries out its production in its own controlled vineyards with a range of domestic and foreign select wine grape varieties. Besides, it also continues its R&D studies with The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey in order to select the clones of some varieties which have long vanished in the region so that they may be recovered for the wine world.
