Co-exhibitor of Consorzio Vino Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco
Frassinelli is a miniscule family estate established in 1966 by Renzo e Alida. They bought a plot of six hectars, in Mareno di Piave, and Renzo decided to do his first winemaking with Manzoni Bianco grapes that until now has been one of the flagships of the winery. On 2000 Renzo and Alida retired and the children Gianluca, vine-grower and oenologist and Roberta, attending to the administration and the export, decided to continue the family business. It was the beginning of a new story firmly linked to the increasing Prosecco’s popularity. New vineyards of Glera were planted in the hills of the historical area of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene and other varieties, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, was planted on the beautiful plain of the initial estate site. Ideal positions are located to each vine with the impeccable 'know-how' regarding both the grape variety and soil sustainability, this period also marked the journey to sustainable viticulture and in perfectioning the winemaking process and will bring about the SQNPI certificate in 2019. Gianluca’s winemaking approach gives to each wine the appropriate expression of the terroir and the vintage, resptecting the environment, the long standing family traditions and the expert know-how of cultivation. The organisation of cultural events and joining the Consorzio di Tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco, Consorzio Vini Venezia and the Movimento Turismo del Vino confirm the importance for the Frassinelli family in the identification with the territory and the cultural welcoming reception which merge and are consolidated by a professional background enriched and upgraded uninterruptedly. From 1966 increasing the quality of the wines, respecting and trying to understand the land, has been the biggest target for Frassinelli’s family.
