Conegliano Valdobbiadene is a small zone in the Veneto nestling between the world-famous splendour of Venice and the austere beauty of the Dolomites. Here, in the Province of Treviso, in the hills that stretch northwest from Conegliano towards Valdobbiadene, man has cultivated for centuries not only the Glera grape variety, but also the culture of winemaking. In 1962 a group of 11 producers created the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco from Conegliano Valdobbiadene, drawing up production regulations designed to safeguard the quality and image of their wines. In 1969 this Consortium obtained Denominazione di Origine Controllata and in 2009 that of Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita, the highest recognition of quality for Italian wines. The producers decided to highlight the name of the region, placing before that of “Prosecco” the name of the area’s most significant towns: “Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore”. The story of the Denomination continues to the present day, urged on by its success on both the national and international markets, and it never shirks caring for the environment. The result of this balance between attention to the market and that for the countryside is the entire zone’s recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In 1920, grandfather Abele, already a grapegrower in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, purchased from Conte Balbi Valier a magnificent, conch-shaped vineyard, at once gorgeous and rich with promise. A piece of land with which to begin afresh after the devastations of World War I, together with his children, , in a family known locally as “I Casei.” Abele “Casel” Adami had the extraordinary idea of separating this vineyard from the others, as he already had done with the Cartizze vineyard. It was an unusual intuition because it is rare to be able to sensitively capture nature’s whispers, observe and understand the very soul of places destined to produce true jewels. The fruit of this decision was something totally unknown in the history of our area: two wines produced and named as single-vineyard crus and bearing the names of their townships: Riva Giardino Asciutto and Riva Cartizze Asciutto. Adriano Adami, “Jano Casel”, Abele’s 13th and last son, inherited this Vigneto Giardino. The family history thereafter was one of generations striving to endow their oenology with all the rigour of a prestigious profession, and of accomplishments that won them attention on a European scale in the early 1980s, with Armando and Franco, and right afterwards on the international stage. Today, the fourth generation, in the persons of Fabrizio, Claudio and Cristina, are actively contributing, and brand exploration has now spread to four continents. The long arc of these years has seen an alternating succession of viticultural achievements and international accolades that have brought together winegrowing experts, wine lovers, and sector professionals, an opportunity-rich adventure in which excellence has always met challenges yet always emerged triumphant. The result has been a patrimony of a family, of a growing area, and of a community, a heritage that only 100 years of history can fashion.

Bortolomiol is located in the heart of the Prosecco DOCG region, in Valdobbiadene.
The long tradition of the Bortolomiol family as wine growers goes back to the 18th century and the Winery itself was founded by Giuliano Bortolomiol in 1949.
Giuliano, considered a pioneer of the “Charmat” method, was the first to produce a Prosecco Brut in 1960. His dream was “to promote the quality and the awareness of Prosecco wine and make it a prestigious sparkling wine known throughout the world”.
Nowadays the same spirit of innovation is carried on by his four daughters (Maria Elena, Elvira, Luisa and Giuliana) to confirm the philosophy of the Brand:
Today the Winery owns a beautiful historical complex, just in the centre of Valdobbiadene, known as “Parco della Filandetta”, which hosts the organic vineyard, the first winery and an ancient silk mill, which was renovated and converted into a bright and spacious tasting room.

It requires up to 600-800 hours of work a year per hectare, compared to about 95 hours on level ground. Drusian has been committed to environmental sustainability for a long time. We use green practices in the vines and we observe strict quality controls through every step of production, from the vine to the bottle. Ruggeri is a historic winery founded in 1950 in Valdobbiadene the most evocative area of the entire Prosecco Superiore DOCG denomination. Ruggeri produces its sparkling wines from grapes grown in the splendid hills of Valdobbiadene, known for producing the highest quality grapes of the denomination. Right at the center of this territory lies the precious Cartizze hill, the most famous cru of the entire area. The constant striving for quality has resulted in Ruggeri becoming one of the key producers of Cartizze sparkling wine, so much that the logo of the winery symbolizes the enduring bond between Ruggeri and the Cartizze area. Ruggeri strongly believes in a collaboration with nature. The team of agronomists have set up an innovative and sustainable pruning training program for the grape suppliers. Furthermore, since 2019 Ruggeri has joined the SQNPI certification. This Quality System is recognized at European Community level and aims to use agronomic methods to minimize the use of chemicals, water and energy. Driven by its pioneering spirit, Ruggeri since many years supports the promotion of a culture of time, to give Prosecco an evolutionary perspective, offering different vintages in the form of vertical tastings. Furthermore, Ruggeri has been the first winery to produce a Prosecco using only the grapes of century-old vines. Journeying into the unknown and pushing the boundaries is the innate characteristic that inspires its enduring quest for quality.
