TERRA DEL PRIORAT
Who we are
Terra del Priorat was born from the conviction that great wines are not “invented,” but discovered: they were already written in the stone, in the slope of the hillsides, in the silence of summer nights. Our job is to give them a voice.
Its creator, Pepe Beltrán, of French descent with over six generations of winemakers in the Languedoc region, decided to launch a new project in the Priorat lands where he currently resides.
We chose to settle in Priorat because here the vineyard isn’t just an agricultural plantation: it’s landscape, memory, and risk. Every meter of terrace, every vine clinging to the llicorella or limestone rock, represents a conscious decision to pursue excellence rather than comfort.
We practice precision viticulture, low yields, and transparent winemaking, allowing each plot to express its character.
We seek wines that combine depth and emotion: capable of being analyzed, yet also able to move you. Wines that travel the world, carrying with them a fragment of Priorat and Montsant.
Our farms
COLLET BLANCH · Cornudella de Montsant - 120-hectare estate with 8 hectares planted.
Located in an amphitheater within the Montsant Mountains Natural Park, Collet Blanch combines poor soils, altitude, and cold nites that balance the intensity of the Mediterranean sun.
Here we work with Rhône white varieties (Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Carignan Blanc) and Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, varieties that share a climate and a mineral language.
The result: broad, saline whites and deep, taut reds, with a pronounced mineral backbone.
A landscape reminiscent of the Rhône, yet with the light and verticality characteristic of Montsant, set between llicorella and limestone.
LES TOSSES · Torroja del Priorat - 24-hectare estate with 8 planted.
In the heart of the Priorat DOQ, Les Tosses sits on slopes of pure llicorella, where the vines cling to the rock in an extreme environment.
This terroir yields red wines of great concentration, fine tannins, and an almost tactile minerality, with black fruit, Mediterranean herbs, and graphite notes.
In addition to Garnacha and Cariñena, we also grow Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, which here display a surprisingly Mediterranean profile.
The new Garnacha and Cariñena plantings will reinforce the estate’s Priorat soul and complete the varietal mosaic.
Our philosophy stems from the desire to offer a collection of singular wines, capable of showcasing the diversity and unique personality of our terroir.
We believe in a distinctive, authentic, and recognizable style that makes our project a unique voice in the region.
If this way of understanding wine resonates with you, it will be a pleasure to welcome you to Terra del Priorat.
