The Château de l'Estagnolestate, named after an ancient dry pond, is located in the DrômeProvençale region, in the commune of Suze-la-Rousse, dominated by a medieval fortress. The estate, surrounded by woods, covers nearly 80 hectares of vines. This wood, which is the emblematic feature of the estate, is made up mainly of pines, hundred-year-old oaks and a few truffle oaks. It helps to maintain and develop biodiversity around the vineyard plots.
The plots are on clay-pebble soils and alluvial deposits. The vineyard therefore has a diversity of terroirs enabling variety in the blend and unique wines from one vintage to the next.
This wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Marselan grapes. The Sainte Marie cuvée is named after the selection of parcels grown around the estate's farm, in the area of the same name.
