The vineyard is located on the Château de l'Estagnol estate in Drôme provençale, close to the Château de Suze la Rousse and the Université du Vin. The estate, surrounded by 77 hectares of woodland, extends over almost 80 hectares. This woodland, an emblematic feature of the estate, consists mainly of pine, cypress and truffle oak. It helps to maintain biodiversity around the plots. The estate takes its name from an old dry pond, long known as the Etang de Saint Louis and now known as the Etang de Suze, which adds a lovely freshness to the vintages produced from the plots currently planted there.
