Jasci & Marchesani Winery was founded around the 1960s by the marrieds Sebastiano Jasci and Lucia Marchesani. The name derives from the union of the two surnames. The history of the family and their wine is inextricably linked to the love for the land and the common choice to grow its fruits with passion. Hence, the decision to found a winery company with a low environmental impact winery which get in 1978, really in unsuspected times, to the conversion to organic management of the vineyards, certified then in 1980 by the Soil and Health Association, an organism recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture. Today, at the helm of the winery, we find Nicola Jasci, the third generation of the family, who manages about 40 hectares in the territory of Vasto, Casalbordino and Monteodorisio, small cities located on the coast of the italian’s middle regions, On these lands the company cultivates not only the historic Montepulciano and Trebbiano varieties, but also Pecorino, Chardonnay, Riesling and Traminer, grapes capable of drawing elegance from fertile, mediumtextured soils rich in pebbles. Each vineyard gives life to a different product, those grown in the Sinello valley offer saline and savory whites while, the clayey soil of the hills of the Medio Vasto, for exposure and temperature range, a unique and sought-after Montepulciano like JANU '. The challenge that has awaited the Company, for 3 years now, has been to accompany the Organic to a highly technological and low energy impact production system, such as to be able to guarantee a product that is not only healthy but also respectful of the Environment surrounds it. The first step for this new partnership was, starting from January 2019, the use of electricity deriving 100% from renewable energy sources. In the following year the company made commercial choices aimed at selecting bottles with a weight lower than the standard and using recycled paper for the labels. At the same time, a process of modernization of the systems and equipment was started which, thanks to the high technology applied, allows to maintain a very high quality of the product while maintaining all the organoleptic characteristics intact. That mentality that today they call "eco-sustainable" has been the guarantee of an increasingly "affective" relationship with the environment and the fruits that the company derives from it. Thanks to these tangible signs of technological and commercial evolution, the company has originated a spread of its brand and its products to every geographic latitude, from where today the deserved awards that allow it to accompany and taste the dishes come from of the most authentic gastronomic traditions. We don’t know what the future will reserve to us but sure nothing will change the love and passion for what we grow
Cantina Pasetti: a story shaped by land, family, and bold vision
Deep roots, far-reaching beginnings
The Pasetti journey begins in the Bourbon era, when Silvestro left Veneto for Francavilla al Mare and planted the first 40 hectares of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. Five generations later, that choice still defines a family dedicated to its land and its craft.
The turning point of the ’60s
In the 1960s, the winery took control of its own vinification—a courageous step for an under-recognized region. The result was steady growth, a loyal clientele, and a reputation built on authenticity, quality, and family continuity.
Mimmo’s vision and the birth of an icon
The 1980s brought a second revolution. Mimmo Pasetti pushed the winery to bottle its Montepulciano, giving life to Testarossa, a label that soon became the estate’s hallmark. Inspired by the red-haired Francesca—echoing the fiery spirit of her great-grandmother, Donna Rachele—Testarossa grew into the emblem of Pasetti’s identity.
Five generations, a modern outlook
Today, Mimmo leads the winery with his wife and their three children—Francesca, Massimo, and Davide—shaping a project that blends heritage with innovation and looks confidently beyond regional borders.
Pedemontana expansion: new lands, new potential
With the new millennium, Pasetti set its sights on the foothills of the Gran Sasso. The first vineyards in Pescosansonesco—clay-limestone soils at 550 meters—proved ideal for elegant, expressive Montepulciano. Additional estates in Capestrano, Castiglione a Casauria, and Ofena followed, enabling the production of distinctive wines like Moscatello di Castiglione and award-winning Pecorino. Pasetti is now among the few Italian wineries authorized to feature the National Park logo on its bottles.
Forca di Penne: high-altitude ambition
The latest chapter unfolds in Forca di Penne, with 150 hectares at 1,050 meters overlooking a Medici tower along the Tratturo Magno, the ancient transhumance route recognized by UNESCO. Its cool, high-altitude conditions—reminiscent of the Montagne de Reims—make it a rare gem in Abruzzo and a promising home for traditional-method sparkling wines from international varieties.
Today and beyond
With Forca di Penne, Pasetti unites its historic roots with a bold, forward-looking vision. The winery is now an ecosystem of terroirs, people, and wines crafted to speak to both heart and palate. A story still unfolding—row after row, bottle after bottle.
Castorani is a leading Italian Winery located in Abruzzo, co-founded by Mr Jarno Trulli, former F1 racing driver, and Lucio Cavuto, Managing Director. We are a dynamic and innovative winery with a focus on producing high-quality wines, which are a fusion between the traditions of our Regions’ old winemakers and new technologies.
We are located in the Province of Pescara, on the Alanno hills, 350 meters above sea level. Our estate is framed by two of the most important mountain ranges in central Italy: the Majella Mountain and the Gran Sasso.
The estate enjoys excelled exposure to sunlight and cool night winds: ideal conditions to ensure a perfect and natural process of ripening of the grapes. Our vineyards extend for 100 hectares and have always been treated with traditional methods. The land on which our vineyards are located is of sedimentary nature, rich in rocks and minerals that give a unique saline and mineral taste to our wines. A further uniqueness of our winery is that our winemaker, who exclusively works for Castorani, only works with concrete tanks. Unlike inox tanks, concrete tanks allow us to obtain a natural and prolonged maceration of the grape skins with the must, as well as a better ageing of the wine.
Our estate is composed of a high-tech winery, entirely built underground to benefit from a constant temperature all years round and to avoid modifying the beautiful landscape in which we are located, modern offices, brand new guest bedrooms and a historic Villa dating back to the 18th Century, which symbolizes our winery’s strong ties with the tradition of Abruzzo. We are an ever-growing and expanding company, always looking to improve our customer outreach as well as our company’s profile.
We produce a wide variety of wines to suit all needs and tastes, but all are of exceptionally high quality. Indeed, some of our top wines, as the Amorino Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and the Podere Castorani Casauria Riserva, have been awarded the prestigious 3 Bicchieri Gambero Rosso award for 15 years in a row now.
The art of wine making, between past and present. A century of history tells the tale of the work and passion of Costantini for the art of
wine making. A tradition that is still alive... Today the whole Costantini family leads the company with passion, contributing significantly to the company’s growth thanks also to modern technology masterfully used to select the best grapes for producing top quality wines.
Today the production structure is located in the middle of a large estate owned by the company where, modernity and tradition meet in a balanced mix. The unique features of the territory, stretching from the Gran Sasso Mountains to the Adriatic sea, create an ideal micro-climate for robust, strong wines and at the same time younger, ready-to-drink wines.
Rosarubra is situated in a small town called Pietranico in the province of Pescara wich is roughly 390 meters above sea level. The appoximate 30ha represent a unique, pleasant and unspoilt place where biological and biodynamic agricolture blens with its own essence.
The company, biologically certified in 2003, adopts a biodynamic agricoltural system improving the soil fertility and food product quality.
The history related to the lands informs us on the agricoltural vocation of the place for vine cultivation. It’s now certain that ever since the beginning of these areas drecreeing its starting point for the spread of the latter all over the region.
You can come across the highest number of “palmenti” dug in the rocks in the territory around Pietranico. These tubs, dating back to the middle ages were real squashing tools used especially for this particular procedure since ancient times. Rosarubra is a biological and biodynamics winery in Pietranico. An oasis of 30 hectares valorized by a territory with a splendid terroir, where the same environment is a nest created by the nature, that protects of it and it protects the biodiversity.
The photo from the top of the vineyards and olive groves, as can be appreciated from the surrounding hills, expresses better than words the essence of the estate Rosarubra. Cultivated lands are joined by forests of oak and in some cases they are surrounded by them. The forest, much more than the vineyards themselves, overlooks and gives character to the landscape.
Indeed the forest is natural and very little has changed. Much has been generously left though for the pleasure of respectful fruition and to the lives of many wild animals. It is a vocation to “organic” which is not only in the technical features and protocols applied but its the natural order.
All this is translated in a hard job in estate finalized to the search of the maximum quality, from the fruit best possible to the contained wine in bottle.
