Jasci & Marchesani Winery was founded around the 1960s by the marrieds Sebastiano Jasci and Lucia Marchesani. The name derives from the union of the two surnames. The history of the family and their wine is inextricably linked to the love for the land and the common choice to grow its fruits with passion. Hence, the decision to found a winery company with a low environmental impact winery which get in 1978, really in unsuspected times, to the conversion to organic management of the vineyards, certified then in 1980 by the Soil and Health Association, an organism recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture. Today, at the helm of the winery, we find Nicola Jasci, the third generation of the family, who manages about 40 hectares in the territory of Vasto, Casalbordino and Monteodorisio, small cities located on the coast of the italian’s middle regions, On these lands the company cultivates not only the historic Montepulciano and Trebbiano varieties, but also Pecorino, Chardonnay, Riesling and Traminer, grapes capable of drawing elegance from fertile, mediumtextured soils rich in pebbles. Each vineyard gives life to a different product, those grown in the Sinello valley offer saline and savory whites while, the clayey soil of the hills of the Medio Vasto, for exposure and temperature range, a unique and sought-after Montepulciano like JANU '. The challenge that has awaited the Company, for 3 years now, has been to accompany the Organic to a highly technological and low energy impact production system, such as to be able to guarantee a product that is not only healthy but also respectful of the Environment surrounds it. The first step for this new partnership was, starting from January 2019, the use of electricity deriving 100% from renewable energy sources. In the following year the company made commercial choices aimed at selecting bottles with a weight lower than the standard and using recycled paper for the labels. At the same time, a process of modernization of the systems and equipment was started which, thanks to the high technology applied, allows to maintain a very high quality of the product while maintaining all the organoleptic characteristics intact. That mentality that today they call "eco-sustainable" has been the guarantee of an increasingly "affective" relationship with the environment and the fruits that the company derives from it. Thanks to these tangible signs of technological and commercial evolution, the company has originated a spread of its brand and its products to every geographic latitude, from where today the deserved awards that allow it to accompany and taste the dishes come from of the most authentic gastronomic traditions.
