Old-vine Carignan and Grenache, grown on sandy-gravel terraces and basalt scree. Yields of around 20 hl/ha. Hand-harvested at full ripeness in two to three passes, with selection in the vineyard. Two to three weeks of vinification, followed by 44 months of ageing in enamelled steel tanks, with no oak. Extremely fine tannins, an enveloping palate and a smoky, spicy finish that gives shape to the fruit. The sunnier side of the estate, with no heaviness. Ageing potential of up to thirty years.
