We are a family wine estate, since 1920, 4th generation. We are located in La Livinière, a large Minervois appellation: Cru La Livinière. Situated on the foothills of the Montagne Noire, not far from the Mediterranean Sea, where the land benefits from a privileged sunshine and an exceptional terroir where you will discover : THE MOSAIC OF THE SENSES, THE REFLECTION OF NATURE To the ear, through its lively music, the song of the cicadas in the hot season, the noisy, intoxicating, icy and sharp breath of the mistral in winter... To the eye, by the depth of the view in cool weather, with the majestic Montagne Noire to the North-East, a real actor of the semi-arid climate. To the south, you can see the chiselled elegance of the terraces that lead to the sea... On the nose, with its scents of thyme, boxwood, fennel and hot stones that burn your insides, so hot is the air in the height of summer... In the mouth, by its wine tasted on the shady and noisy terraces, accompanied by local dishes, fréginat, crayfish poached in the local streams, wild boar, Sunday chicken, small stuffed dishes and figs with garden wine... To the touch by our domain...
Château BeauBois has its name as far as its origins. In the XIII century the Cistercian monks of the abbey of Franquevaux detect a fabulous terroir. Today Fanny and François Boyer, sister and brother, are the 4th generation to watch over the destiny of the vineyard. They are considered by many wise eyes as the «rising generation of the appellation» Costières de Nîmes. The 50 hectares of vineyards have been cultivated by François in Organic Agriculture (ECOCERT) since 2009 and in Biodynamic (Demeter) since 2020. Fanny elaborates the wines each year bringing its share of femininity and requirement. The inimitable style of «BeauBois» is based on its superb terroir of pebbles and its fabulous location. Overlooking the ponds of the Petite Camargue, the vineyard benefits from their freshness during the nights until early morning, often giving saline and iodized notes. The south-facing exposure offers Mediterranean warmth that has a remarkable influence on their wines. The inimitable style of «BeauBois» is based on its superb terroir of pebbles and its fabulous location. Located on the southern slope of the Costières, overlooking the ponds of the Petite Camargue, the vineyard enjoys their freshness during the nights until the early morning. These cool temperatures help maintain the flavor on Viognier, Vermentino, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc. The south-facing exposure offers, the Mediterranean heats, remarkably influencing the Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Marselan and Cinsault.

We use amphorae to maintain freshness and integral vinification in barrels to tame the power and concentration this wild corner of France offers. The devil is in the details and we pay attention to them all, proposing wines with a very strong identity and great elegance.

Created by the Bénédictine monks of Gellone Abbey in 804 on the lowest foothills of Terrasses du Larzac, LA CROIX CHAPTAL is heir to a thousand-year-old wine-producing tradition.
Although it is located at the southernmost spot of Terrasses du Larzac, it spreads over one of the coldest areas since the cold wind from the Larzac plateau blows as far as the confluence of two rivers, The Lergue and the Hérault.
Since 1999, Charles Pacaud, vine-grower and winemaker, has
- protected endemic varieties(Aramon, Clairette Rose & Clairette Blanche, Carignan), hedges, woods and the local flora and fauna
- let natural grass grow on the rounded stones & pebbles
- made his wines from indigenous yeasts after grapes are hand-picked on most of the plots
- aged his cuvées for a minimum of 2 winters to obtain the natural stabilisation of the wines (no fining, no filtering)
📷 AOP TERRASSES DU LARZAC : remarkably fresh and outstandingly mineral reds. Drinkability is guaranteed !
📷 AOP CLAIRETTE DU LANGUEDOC : the whole potential of Clairette Blanche illustrated both in a dry white and in a Natural Sweet Rancio for gastronomy.

Climate, soil type, grape varieties and the authentic human touch have endowed La Croix Chaptal with its own unique personality.
A HISTORIC ESTATE
The Romans chose this site to settle and produce wine, then in the 11th century, the Cistercians continued their work until the Revolution. Today, in the middle of 50 hectares of woods and garrigues, this domain of 50 hectares of vines, located at 150 meters of altitude on an exceptional terroir, is cultivated in organic farming and is part of the references of the Grés de Montpellier and Igp Oc.
CONTEMPORARY WINES
The wines of the Mas reflect its arid terroir swept by the tramontana and the sea spray, mixing generosity and freshness. We are constantly seeking to express the power and richness of the terroir while maintaining a high level of drinkability. To fully appreciate our wines, you must take the time as the ancient Cistercian guardians of the domain recommended: "Siste et ora Viator".
