The estate is renowned for its elegant, terroir-driven wines from prestigious sites like Traiser Bastei and Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg. Weingut Hermann Dönnhoff is one of Germany’s most established family estates, rooted in Oberhausen an der Nahe for over 250 years. Today, the winery is internationally recognised as a benchmark for Riesling defined by precision, terroir expression, and consistency across vintages.
The estate farms nine Große Lagen (Grand Cru) and two Erste Lagen (Premier Cru), among the most highly regarded vineyard sites in the Nahe and Germany. These vineyards form the backbone of a clearly structured portfolio ranging from estate wines to Grosses Gewächs, as well as world-class Spätlesen and Auslesen with outstanding ageing potential.
Now led by Cornelius Dönnhoff together with his wife Anne, the fourth generation combines deep respect for heritage with a modern, market-focused approach. Dönnhoff wines are valued by the trade for their reliability, transparent origin, strong global reputation, and long-term demand in both gastronomy and retail.

The renowned family estate is one of Germany's largest privately owned wine estates. At the foothills of the Steigerwald, east of Würzburg, the family grows mainly Silvaner, Riesling, Scheurebe, and Pinot varieties on almost 90 hectares of vineyards. As a member of the VDP, Weingut Wirsching is one of the 200 famous estates in Germany, uncompromisingly seeking the best. In viticulture, for over 380 years, many generations have carried on the legacy. Dr. Heinrich Wirsching and his brother Hans led the estate into Germany's top ranks, Andrea Wirsching is running the business, and her sister Lena will continue the female leadership.
Franconia is a small wine region in northern Bavaria, known mainly for the typical bulbous bottle, the Bocksbeutel. Viticulture has been practiced here for over 1000 years. The most famous grape variety is Silvaner, a dry white wine that has been produced for centuries and goes particularly well with fish and vegetarian dishes. Its mild acidity affords it to be completely fermented. The wines from Iphofen grow on gypsum, a gray-brown sedimentary rock with a lot of fossilized organic material that can keep heat and water. This soil provides unexpected, wild scents and great, spicy elegance. The most famous vineyard, the Iphöfer Julius-Echter-Berg, is one of the great classics of Germany. Since it is also the hottest site in Franconia, Rieslings and Pinots of exceptional quality ripen here.
Salwey. Always dry. Always Pinot. In some ways, estate Salwey in Oberrotweil is a classic, family-run operation — yet in others it is anything but. Konrad Salwey is the third generation from the family to run the winery, which focuses on the Pinot varieties traditional to the Kaiserstuhl region: Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder and Spätburgunder. Salwey is renowned for his open-mindedness, his daring to experiment and learn from successes and noble attempts — all in the interest of improving the winemaking process. His grand passion however is and remains Grauburgunder, the estate's flagship varietal. The wines are always fully fermented and shaped by the vineyards' loess and weathered volcanic soils. In the cellar, nature is provided with plenty of time and space, although little is left to chance. This means strict standards in the vineyards, with a 100% selective hard harvest and wild yeast fermentation in large wooden barrels. A hands-off approach in the cellar means the wines are neither fined nor filtered. All in keeping to the motto: As little as possible and as much as is needed.
Schloss Johannisberg is the name of both the winery and the vineyard that belongs to it. The grapes for the wines come from a single, 50-hectare monopole vineyard that surrounds Johannisberg in a semicircle.
Schloss Johannisberg was founded as a Benedictine monastery around 1100, and the monks began cultivating wine. In 1720, Johannisberg became the property of the Prince-Abbot of Fulda, who converted the entire vineyard to Riesling. This makes Schloss Johannisberg the world's first Riesling winery.
The grapes grow on south-facing slopes characterized by Taunus quartzite, which are interspersed with fertile loam and iron dioxide. Schloss Johannisberg now produces 10 quality levels ranging from dry to noble sweet. The wines are aged in the historic wooden barrel cellar, and selected treasures mature in the “Bibliotheca Subterranea” for many decades. The so-called “sealing colours” characterize the different wines and date back to an in-house quality system from the 19th century.
Our 29-hectare VDP Member estate, run by Oliver and Jessica Haag, is located in the heart of the Middle Moselle. We stand for tradition, precision, and Rieslings from Brauneberg’s finest sites. The Haag family has been making wines here since 1605.
The vineyards are the foundation for our Rieslings. Year after year, we pour our blood, sweat, and tears into our work in the vineyard. Sustainability and low-impact cultivation are always our utmost priority. During harvest, we work exclusively by hand, conducting several passes.
From animating estate-level Gutswein and wildly expressive wines from Grosse Lage sites to esidually sweet masterpieces in the style that made the Mosel famous, our wines are a reflection of our philosophy.
The many annual awards and outstanding ratings our wines receive nationally and internationally confirm the quality of our work.
„His elegant, refi ned Rieslings are impressive examples of the fi nest the Mosel region has to offer.“

Our family winery has been located directly on the German-French border in Pfalz, with half of the organic vineyards (30 hectares) in each country – truly unique! These special circumstances allow us to combine the best of two cultures: French elegance meets German precision, resulting in terroir-driven Burgundies and Rieslings that are second to none. This quality has been recognized by Meininger (Europe’s leading wine specialist publisher) with the award Collection of the Year in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Schloss Lieser is a family-owned winery located in the heart of the Middle Mosel, Germany, dedicated to Riesling from the region’s finest Grand Cru sites. Our focus is on quality, authenticity, and expressing terroir at the highest level.
Our quality is based on steep slate slopes, very old vines and strict hand selection through several harvest passes. All our Rieslings ferment spontaneously with natural yeasts at low temperatures to express their true origin. They are mineral, elegant, finely fruity, and moderate in alcohol, with great aging potential.
Over the years, our work has been recognized by leading wine guides, and we were honored as a "Worldclass Winery" as well as the best German “Winemaker of the Year" in 2015 and 2021. Today, the next generation continues this path with the same passion—in vineyard, cellar, and markets around the world.
