‘Vino che non c'è’ in Italian means ‘the wine that isn’t there’ because it contains a lost grape that was not authorized when we planted it. This grape is a lost variety indigenous to Piedmont and we have been trying to bring it back for the past few years, Blanc Vert. It’s fermented with Nascetta, and Timorasso. Nascetta is indigenous of the Langhe and was lost for a few centuries. We were the third winery to replant it in the early 2000s and the first one to make it orange.
We are really passionate about lost grapes varieties and we try to work with as many as we can. The idea here, just like in the vino che non c'è rosso, is to show that even if these grapes are not ‘mainstream’, they have great potential.
