A small and exceptional 2.55-hectare single vineyard, this wine is rooted in gravelly soils originating from ancient mountain rock, rich in limestone and clay with a naturally high pH.
Established in 1986, the mature vines consistently yield fruit of remarkable depth, balance and finesse, allowing for a nuanced expression of classic Chardonnay. Matured for twelve months in French oak, the wine reveals a multi-dimensional profile of citrus peel, lime and pear-drop aromas layered with subtle vanilla and an intriguing nuttiness. The palate is elegant and complex, combining bright citrus and ripe pear with a creamy, finely textured mid-palate, finishing long and refined with fresh citrus lift and distinctive limestone-driven poise.
