Château de Lacquy is the oldest family-owned estate in the Bas-Armagnac region, in the hands of the same family since 1711. This continuity has allowed us to preserve a deep-rooted heritage while embracing a thoughtful, contemporary approach to every aspect of our craft.
Our 25-hectare vineyard, situated on the appellation’s finest sandy soils, is cultivated sustainably. We work exclusively with our own grapes - Folle-Blanche, Colombard, and Baco - and vinify with precision before distilling on site using a traditional wood-fired continuous still. The ageing process takes place in 420-litre French oak barrels, half of which are renewed annually. Nothing is ever added, and bottling is done only to order - a choice that reflects our commitment to purity, elegance, and authenticity.
Our offer includes blends, single varietals, single casks, cask-strength vintages, and rare editions - some of which are created in close collaboration with our distributors, resulting in unique releases tailored to their markets.

El Ron del Artesano – the craftman’s rum
The story of this rum begins with the simple fascination of honest rums, without artificial additives, influenced only by their barrel aging.
The idea behind is easily explained – an artisanal rum, with a clear structure and no artificial alteration. A Panamanian rum whose character is shaped solely by aging in its barrels and by time.
Its aroma reveals a delicate molasses character with sweet notes, elegant and honest on the palate. Its aging process is entirely natural, in carefully selected barrels that previously held whisky, wine, bourbon, port, sherry,… making every bottling a unique expression and a piece of craft.
I wish you a lot of joy with this Artesano!
Groupe Saint Aubin is a family-owned company founded in 1819 and located in the south of Mauritius. Originally, our activity was focused on the sugar industry.
Over time, the Group diversified its operations, developing activities in tea, tourism, as well as the production of pure sugarcane juice rum and various local products.
During the 20th century, only molasses-based rums were produced in Mauritius, as sugarcane juice was reserved for sugar production. It was only in the early 2000s that the use of pure sugarcane juice for rum production was authorized.
Saint Aubin was the pioneer of pure sugarcane juice rum in Mauritius, having launched an artisanal distillery in 2003. We have developed high-quality rums made from manually harvested sugarcane and distilled in pot stills, resulting in very distinctive rums.
The Group later expanded its rum production by establishing a new traditional distillery in 2011, equipped with a copper column still.
We therefore benefit from two types of distillation, column and pot still, allowing us to create a wide range of blends and a broad aromatic palette, from white rums to aged expressions.
