Bosco de’ Medici is a wine estate and resort located in the Pompeii area, set amidst the vineyards on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius.
History & Philosophy: The roots of the estate go back to the 1970s, when the grandfather of the current owners began cultivating quality grapes for personal use. In 2014, the family launched the Bosco de’ Medici brand and invested in a dedicated winery to give a more definitive identity to their winemaking venture. Their approach is strongly tied to the land and tradition: they explore what they call “eno-archaeological” studies of grape varieties and traditional techniques, especially in relation to the volcanic terroir.
Vineyard & Terroir: The estate covers roughly 8 hectares of vineyard, divided into several small plots on the Vesuvius slopes. Callmewine+1
Soils are volcanic, giving their wines distinctive minerality and character. One line of production is the “Vesuvio” line, a tribute to ancient Vesuvius-area wines, including varieties and techniques revisited with a blend of experimentation and tradition.
Wine & Production Highlights:
Located in the heart of Chianti Classico, between Florence and Siena, Casa Emma embodies the authentic spirit of Tuscan winemaking. The estate sits on gentle hills in Barberino Tavarnelle, where altitude, soil composition, and exposure create ideal conditions for producing elegant and expressive wines.
Founded in the 1960s and still family-owned, Casa Emma is dedicated to sustainable viticulture and the preservation of traditional methods, combined with modern precision in the cellar. The estate’s focus on Sangiovese showcases the grape’s true identity, complemented by carefully crafted blends that reflect the character of this historic territory.

Owned by the Count Emo Capodilista family since the 15th century, La Montecchia is one of the most historic wine estates in the Colli Euganei area near Padua, Veneto. The property surrounds the beautiful Renaissance villa of the same name, a symbol of harmony between nature, art, and viticulture.
The estate combines centuries-old tradition with modern winemaking expertise, producing refined wines that express the volcanic soils and unique microclimate of the Euganean Hills. Native and international varieties — including Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Fior d’Arancio — are cultivated with a commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.
Each wine from La Montecchia embodies heritage, precision, and elegance, reflecting the timeless legacy of the Emo Capodilista family and the rich winemaking culture of Veneto.
Located in San Marzano Oliveto, in the hills of Asti (Piedmont), Franco Mondo is a family-run winery devoted to expressing the authentic character of Barbera d’Asti and other native varieties. Guided by passion and tradition, Franco Mondo continues to craft wines that tell the story of Piedmont’s heritage — authentic, expressive, and full of personality.
WINEMAKING ON THE RED STONE
The history of the Rottensteiner family has always been closely linked to winegrowing in the city of Bolzano: the first records of winemaking on Rottensteiner lands goes back to 1530. Carrying on the tradition is now the heritage and task of the younger generation. The winery’s range also has a clear focus on varietal wines from the region.
In the heart of Sorbara, near Modena (Emilia-Romagna), Cantina Paltrinieri has been dedicated for over a century to producing wines that capture the essence of Lambrusco di Sorbara, the most refined expression of this native variety.
Run by the Paltrinieri family for four generations, the winery unites tradition, innovation, and deep respect for its terroir. The sandy soils and cool microclimate of the Sorbara area give life to Lambrusco wines of remarkable freshness, finesse, and aromatic intensity, distinguished by their delicate color and vibrant acidity.
Each bottle of Paltrinieri is a testament to authentic craftsmanship and regional pride — elegant, distinctive Lambrusco wines that redefine the identity of Emilia-Romagna’s most iconic grape.

We are Princic Winery, a family-run estate located in the heart of Goriška Brda, western Slovenia, right on the border with Italy. For generations, our family has been devoted to cultivating vineyards and producing wines that express the soul of our land.
Our ancestors were already in contact with nature, which always produced good fruits. Through generations, we have always maintained contact with nature and have always listened to it.
The vineyards are grassy, in which microorganisms and natural processes combine and enrich our soil.
The vineyards with a low load give us good grapes for further processing. Fermentations at a lower temperature to preserve freshness, elegance and of course with an emphasis on the territory.
Our vineyards lie on the sunny slopes of Goriška Brda, where marl and limestone soils (known locally as “opoka”) give structure and minerality to the wines. The Mediterranean influence and gentle Alpine breezes create an ideal balance of warmth and freshness — perfect for growing expressive, long-lived grapes.
We produce white, red, and macerated (orange) wines, mainly from local and classic varieties such as Rebula - Ribolla Gialla, Jakot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Modri Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our wines are made using spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts, long macerations on the skins for some whites, and aging in oak barrels and large wooden casks.
We bottle our wines without filtration and with minimal sulphur, to preserve their natural integrity.
We offer two main lines:
- Prinčič — wines produced in stainless steel tanks with an elegant structure
- Mihael — elegant wines aged in oak, balanced and complex.
- Aurei — macerated wines with rich texture, depth, and great longevity.
Each bottle is a reflection of our land and our hands.
Our wines are vibrant, structured, and full of life — the result of patience, respect for nature, and trust in time. We don’t aim for perfection, but for authenticity.
TENUTE OLBIOS — Where Granite Becomes Wine
In Gallura, the wild northeastern corner of Sardinia, ancient granite shapes everything — the landscape, the character of the people, and our wines. This is the home of Sardinia's only DOCG: Vermentino di Gallura.
The Winemaker Daniela Pinna and husband David Mele founded Tenute Olbios over twenty years ago, challenging conventions ever since. Introducing glass stoppers on her flagship Vermentino — in Sardinia, the land of cork — many questioned the choice. Today, that wine, Lupus in Fabula, is recognized as one of the finest Vermentino di Gallura DOCG. Former long-standing president of the Consorzio di Tutela, Daniela is both winemaker and agronomist, overseeing every step from vineyard to bottle. Her approach combines constant research with commitment to indigenous varieties: extended sur lie ageing, skin contact, controlled oxidation under flor yeasts, traditional method sparkling with manual rémuage. The result pushes the boundaries of what Vermentino can be.
The Terroir Our family estate vineyard, planted fifty years ago, grows on granite sand rich in quartz and feldspar. Dry-farmed vines force roots deep into rocky soil, absorbing the minerals that define our wines: striking minerality, depth, complexity — yet always pleasantly drinkable.
The Method Natural farming: no herbicides, minimal low environmental impact treatments, strictly hand-picked grapes in small crates. In the cellar, minimal intervention — gravity transfers, gentle filtration, very limited sulfites, no animal products. SQNPI (National Quality System for Integrated Production) certified and 100% vegan.
The Winery Our cellar sits at the heart of the vineyard, within a restored 19th-century granite farmhouse. Beneath lies an underground vault where a natural aquifer maintains ideal ageing conditions. Stainless steel, French oak barriques, concrete egg, and traditional method facilities work in harmony — modern precision meeting centuries-old stone.
The Wines From Lupus in Fabula to rare Muristellu in purity, from decade-aged In Vino Veritas to Metodo Classico Bisso — each wine reflects Daniela's vision: preserve the grape, honour the terroir, never follow trends.
