Elisabetta Abrami is among the pioneers of organic Franciacorta, both in her vineyards, located in the municipalities of Provaglio d’iseo, Passirano and Paderno Franciacorta, and in the winery. Alongside sustainability, her production philosophy puts the raw agricultural material at its own core, a value developed since childhood, observing her father working in his deli-shop. It comes natural understanding that the mantra of Elisabetta and her son Giuseppe, with whom she runs the winery, is “the taste before the bubble”: a strong connection with the grape varierty, particularly Pinot Nero. The winery also produces organic extra-virgin olive oil and, thanks to the encounter with the Urzì family, manages Sciare dell’alba, vineyards and winery on Etna.
Our winery is located on a 1400s farmhouse surrounded by nature in Adro, in the heart of the Franciacorta hills and a few steps from the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve .
It was the will of the founder, Marcello Monzio Compagnoni , to purchase the old Loneto farmhouse in 1995, then enlarged on the basis of his architectural studies, with the aim of obtaining the best conditions for the conservation of Franciacorta . An act which, over time and thanks to a modern and pragmatic interpretation of this profession, has allowed the name Monzio Compagnoni to carve out a leading role in the world of Italian bubbles.
Around the cellar, in 10 hectares of land, we take care of our vineyards of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Bianco grapes, processed for the production of Franciacorta. Another 37 hectares are located in the municipalities of Adro, Cologne, Cazzago San Martino and Cortefranca.
The Franciacorta Consortium is the body which guarantees and monitors Franciacorta production standards, as the first Italian wine produced exclusively with the bottle refermentation process to have obtained the Protected and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG) denomination in 1995. The Consortium’s work takes various forms, ranging from safeguarding its brand and region, promoting its products via ongoing work on its production regulations and denominations, consumer information campaigns and promoting Franciacorta as an expression of an area, a wine and a production method. Founded on 5 March 1990 its head offices are in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta. The Consortium is presided over by Emanuele Rabotti and has over 120 associates.
Mirabella traces its origin back to an encounter in 1979 between Teresio Schiavi, a winemaker originally from Pavia, and Franciacorta-area engineer Giacomo Cavalli. Lying in Rodengo Saiano, in the easternmost part of Franciacorta, protected by the nearby Parco delle Colline nature preserve, Mirabella is named after the first estate vineyard, planted in 1981 and still in production. The winery is situated in an ex-wine cooperative complex dating back to 1942, with underground ageing cellars and concrete vats that constitute a true monument to the art of wine. Teresio Schiavi directed Mirabella over the decades in a pioneering spirit and with respectful attention to the winemaking process and to the environment, ably assisted by Francesco Bracchi and his sons Alessandro and Alberto. Motivated by his vision for the future destiny of the growing area, he was one of the original founders of the Consorzio Franciacorta, and he brought to the winery sustainable viticulture of its 45 hectares of vineyards. His innovative spirit so permeated the entire winery production team that Mirabella was able to produce the very first Franciacorta with no added sulphites and the growing area’s first monovarietal Pinot Blanc.

The Vigneti Cenci winery is located in Cologne, in Franciacorta, and stretches to the foot of Monte Orfano.
Monte Orfano is a seabed emerged hill on the southern edge of the Franciacorta region, with wonderful southern exposure. The land is rocky with mineral undersoil, which makes for flavoursome, persistent wines. The region’s unique microclimate and dry, well-ventilated and sunny conditions make it the ideal habitat for Pinot Bianco, which is the jewel in our winery’s crown.
The La Boscaiola – Vigneti Cenci agricultural company was dreamt up by Nelson Cenci, a doctor, writer and former Alpine trooper who, after the Second World War, was reunited back in Cologne, Franciacorta, with the comrades with whom he had managed to survive the frozen hell and horror of the Russian campaign. It was thanks to the help of these men that – in the 1940s, Cenci was able to refurbish the mid-19th-century farmhouse and vineyards where he would go on to express his passion for viticulture and oenology.
In the 1960s, La Boscaiola resumed wine production, something that had been stopped for 20 years due to war and abandonment. Today, Giuliana and Maurizio, the daughter and grandson of Nelson, are continuing his work. Drawing on everything their grandfather taught them, they strive for the highest quality and lowest levels of sulphites possible.
Franciacorta Vigneti Cenci has always been synonymous with an unerring focus on product quality. Cutting-edge wine-making techniques and decades of experience enable us to produce sparkling wines with extremely low levels of sulphites, something that brings out the typical perfumes, aromas and fragrances of this area.
Our philosophy is to achieve a pure, elegant Franciacorta, using low "dosage" that ensure we do not overawe the wine. A Franciacorta that encapsulates our family story and the land in which it is based. Pure, elegant and refined: that is the essence of our Franciacorta.
