Located in the Loire Valley, Château de la Ragotière has been owned by the Couillaud family since 1978. Winegrowers for seven generations, Amelie Couillaud and her husband Vincent are committed to keeping the family heritage alive while leaving their mark. The estate is located in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine region and the vineyard is spread over very characteristic hillsides of Micaschistes. This terroir allow us to obtain excellent maturities, essential elements for producing great white wines. Emphasis is placed on the cultivation of the soil and the plot selections, in particular with the Cru Vallet, Muscadet aged for more than thirty months on the lees which is an exceptional revealer of the terroir. The estate is also distinguished by the richness of its grape varieties: Melon de Bourgogne, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Petit Manseng... each having its specificity but always an incredible finesse and elegance, freshness and astonishing aging potential. Proud of our beautiful terroir, we have been converting to organic farming since 2019.
