Co-exhibitor of COMITE INTERPROFESSIONNEL DES VINS D'ALSACE - CIVA
The story of the Lorentz family's love of wine, the most beautiful of ardours, began in Bergheim in 1836. Over the generations, they have endeavoured to bring out the unique geology of their terroirs in the heart of the Alsace vineyards, while preserving the singular expression of each grape variety. Today, Georges Lorentz, the sixth generation, is at the helm of the family business. Driven by this passion for wine, Domaine Gustave Lorentz naturally turned to organic wines. Since 2009, the estate has worked the 45 hectares of vineyards (1.5 hectares of which are planted on the slopes of the Grand Cru Kanzlerberg - Alsace's petits Grands Crus - and 13 hectares on the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim) with respect, helping each grape variety to adapt to its terroir. And with this constant drive to improve quality and make exceptional wines, in 2015 Gustave Lorentz invested in a brand new high-performance production tool, a new state-of-the-art winery. Gustave Lorentz is France's leading producer of Alsace wines for the catering trade, available on world-renowned airlines and number one on the Duty Free circuit in France. Gustave Lorentz generates 60% of its sales from exports and can boast a presence in over 75 countries worldwide. It is the 2nd most available Alsace producer in the world!
