ADYAR,the Arabic word for "monasteries", is the singular soul of Lebanese wine, representing over 330 years of uninterrupted winemaking by the monks of the Lebanese Maronite Order. As the pioneer of organic viticulture and agriculture in Lebanon, Adyar unites nine monasteries and nine distinct terroirs, ranging from 400 to 1,700 meters. With a diverse collection of red, white, and rosé wines, Adyar is more than a revival; it is the oldest living foundation of Lebanese wine culture, where sacred tradition meets modern organic excellence. It is not a rediscovery of history; it is history still being poured.
Above 4,000 years ago in the Land of Canaan (what is today Lebanon), our Phoenician ancestors already cultivated the vine on our soils, spreading wine culture through the Mediterranean.
Château Kefraya is the only winery born during Lebanon’s civil war (1975-90). This exploit was achieved because of the vision and perseverance of Founder Michel de Bustros.
The vineyard is located above 1000 meters in the West-Bekaa Valley, in the heart of the most beautiful wine region of Lebanon. It covers almost 300 hectares and is Organic certified.
Crossed by a tectonic rift, the result is a mosaic of different terroirs made of micro-plots, harvested manually and vinified separately, with utmost care and precision.
Chateau Kefraya wines are present on the finest tables of 50 countries around the world’s 5 continents.
Château Ksara was founded in 1857 by the Jesuits. It is Lebanon’s oldest ‘modern’ winery and the producer that laid the foundations of the current Lebanese wine industry. With vineyards located in the Bekaa Valley at an altitude between 1,000 and 1,500 meters, Château Ksara produces 3 million bottles annually, making 17 award-winning wines in a variety of styles, many of which are aged in the famous 2-kilometer, Roman-era caves that run under the winery. Château Ksara is sold in over 35 countries, with a major presence in the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, Dubai, Scandinavia, Japan, Hong Kong and China. Château Ksara also offers limited quantities of, often rare, older vintages to Michelin-starred restaurants, specialist wine shops and private buyers.
Château St Thomas is a family winery founded in 1990 by Saïd Touma who was a passionate man, with more than 55 years’ experience in the distillation and fermentation of grape juice (both his father and grandfather since 1888 were important producers of Arak, the traditional Lebanese drink - also fruit of those vines) & has inherited his father’s passion for vineyards and wines, and has passed it on to his son Joe-Assaad who studied winemaking in France (Montpellier & Bordeaux).
The estate is located on a hill overlooking the Bekaa Valley at an altitude of more than 1000m. Its 65 hectares of vineyards (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Grenache, Cinsault, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Obeidy) are well exposed on the eastern slope of Mount Lebanon, & are accustomed to the climate conditions and geological characteristics of the Bekaa Valley; a Mediterranean and a semi-continental climate characterized by cold and rainy winters and hot dry summers. The soil is superficial, well-drained and is constituted of a mixture of limestone and pebbly clay.
The first vintage appeared in 1998. The abundant natural terroir, the ancestral know-how of the Lebanese grape growers and the art and passion of Saïd & Joe- Assaad Touma all combine harmoniously to produce exceptional wines. The wines are aged in the natural cellars of the Château. Dug through rocks to a depth of 30 meters, the caves welcome the new oak casks in a humid atmosphere, close to 80% accompanied by a low and stable temperature.
Chateau St Thomas invites you to taste the different wine vintages and visit the Chapel dedicated to St Thomas.
Chateau St Thomas has become the pride of the wine production in Lebanon. The wines have been awarded more than 80 gold & silver medals in prestigious international wine competitions since 2002.

It all started with a widow named Meriena Gebrayel in 1926 who came back with her children from Brazil and expanded after 85 years by her grandchildren, Elie & Gaby Gebrayel.
Once Elie Gebrayel was elected Mayor of his beloved Village Ghalboun, and with the mindset that our agriculture is fully depending on our surrounding, just as it depends on us, it was decided to grow and produce vines organically and sustainably, by implementing environmentally friendly practices such as organic farming, energy efficient systems, water conservation measures…, all while making sure that the Ghalboun’s community interest is served first by creating hundreds of job opportunities for the people of the Village.
Therefore, the brothers developed the simple idea then, to a bigger passion today turning a 55,000 sqm hill into vineyards with various sorts of grapes and acquiring another 45,000 sqm recently to complement the winery producing a big selection of organic wine.

The name IXSIR derives from “Iksir”, the original Arabic word for “Elixir”, a word common to many languages, defining the purest form of all substances, a secret potion that grants eternal youth and love.
The vision behind IXSIR is to reveal the best terroirs of Lebanon, some forgotten long since. Cultivated with respect to sustainable agriculture, IXSIR’s vineyards are spread in the mountains of Lebanon on clay-calcareous and limestone soil, from Batroun to Jezzine, benefiting from the unique microclimates Lebanon has to offer. IXSIR’s vineyards culminate at an altitude of 1,800 m, making them the highest in the Northern Hemisphere.
Winemaking occurs in a winery located on the hills of Batroun where 17th century traditional Lebanese house presides over a contemporary winery with sustainability at its core. Recognized several time for its green credentials, the IXSIR winery was named by CNN as one of the greenest building in the world, and won the international Architizer A+ Award as well as the Good Green Design award and the Green Mind MENA Award.
Carefully handcrafted by IXSIR’s winemaker, the wines reflect the purity and freshness of the Lebanese mountains, through richness, elegance and complexity.
