Grape: Nebbiolo
Grapes from the Galli location in Farigliano. This is our version of a classic Langhe DOC Nebbiolo from the part of Langhe where we are. Even if we are just 15 km from Barolo, the weather conditions are different and our hills are higher in altitude. The soil composition is very similar.
This hill is about 450 m of altitude and the weather conditions give freshness to the wine.
From the 2024 vintage, we added a third clone to the wine. 90% of this wine comes from the oldest vineyard we have, about 85 years old, that has Michet and Lampia. 10% is a lesser known clone called Nebbiolo Rose’ that gives elegance.
This wine is produced with a 1 month maceration on the skins with technique of submerged cap. After fermentation, it’s aged for 1 year in big neutral French oak barrels.
