Deeply satisfying nose, simultaneously full, intense, and rich, yet fresh and angular. Juicy red fruit jostle s with leather, white pepper, and a hint of smoke. The palate continues the same dexterous balancing act: rich and juicy, but with a tannic sharpness that gives it verve and suggests many years ahead.Ihave not tried this for a couple of years, andIwas very pleasantly surprised - a winning vintage and a wine very substantially improved.
