Tony Parker & Róbert Wessman,

a new champagne signature,

unveiled at Wine Paris as part of a major international project

There are encounters that fit naturally into an entrepreneurial journey and make perfect professional sense. The meeting of Tony Parker and Róbert Wessman is one of them. Two extraordinary careers united by a shared commitment to precision and perseverance, a common passion as vineyard owners, and a shared vision of entrepreneurship rooted in boldness and purpose.

From this conversation emerged the collaboration between Róbert Wessman and Tony Parker, with a shared goal : to create, under the Tony Parker and Róbert Wessman label, two cuvées of champagne TP9 and Four Rings. Two champagnes, structured and precise, defined by consistency and balance.

Guided by an international and contemporary vision of wine, Róbert Wessman develops his collaborations through encounters with unique individuals with creative perspectives who help shape his vision. In New York, with Norah Jones, who became co-owner of Maison Wessman, and in the heart of Bergerac, with a restaurant designed by Thierry Marx. Each partnership reflects the same ambition : to give a voice to demanding and complex terroirs whose potential deserves to be revealed with accuracy. In this dynamic, the collaboration with Tony Parker represents a natural next step, opening a new chapter in Champagne.

A Meeting Rooted in Excellence

It was on a summer evening, during an informal conversation over a tasting at the Verdots vineyard, that the idea for the project truly began to take shape. Róbert Wessman and Tony Parker shared their respective journeys and their common vision of entrepreneurship, grounded in boldness, discipline, and attention to detail.

Tony Parker learned early on that success is built on meticulous attention and humility. Discipline, repetition, and trust in the collective have structured his entire path. Already the owner of a vineyard, he now continues this trajectory with the same determination, establishing himself as a bold entrepreneur deeply involved in the world of wine.

Róbert Wessman, an international entrepreneur, approaches his activities with the same resolve. At the helm of Maison Wessman, he applies this rigor to his winemaking decisions, investing thoughtfully and crafting wines guided by a clear and sustainable vision.

From their respective life paths emerged a shared conviction: both champagne and entrepreneurship are built over time, with precision and integrity. This foundational certainty guides the long-term development of the brand, anchored in shared values, measured ambition, and profound respect for every stage of the winemaking process.

Two Cuvées to Define the Tony Parker x Róbert Wessman Style

To bring this project to life, Tony Parker and Róbert Wessman chose two distinct cuvées: a Brut, designed as an approachable and structured expression, and a Vintage, reflecting reflecting a more singular and time-bound approach.

From defining the blends to successive tastings, from technical adjustments to stylistic choices, they invested themselves fully, working hand in hand to create champagnes crafted with methodical precision, where the harmony of the blends and the pursuit of balance guide every step.

The Tony Parker & Róbert Wessman brand expresses a distinct vision of champagne: a structured and elegant wine, designed to establish a lasting presence in the contemporary Champagne landscape.

Brut Champagne TP9

This expressive and harmonious cuvée is defined by beautiful aromatic intensity and a refreshingly crisp finish.

Tasting notes:

Appearance : Pale yellow in color, with delicate golden highlights and remarkable clarity. The mousse is discreet, with fine and delicate bubble.

Nose : A beautifully expressive nose, offering notes of peach intertwined with candied fruits, nuts, and hints of caramelized tarte Tatin.

Palate : Generous and well-rounded on the palate, lifted by a vibrant freshness driven by candied citrus fruits. The soft spices detected on the nose extend gracefully into the finish.

Assemblage : 72% Meunier, 20 % de Pinot Noir and 8% Chardonnay.

Brut TP9 will be available in large-scale retail at a price of €35.

Four Rings 2014 Vintage Brut Champagne

Four Rings is a more exclusive and intimate cuvée, highlighted by the selection of a vintage rich in significance. Sourced from a year renowned for its quality, the 2014 vintage stands out for its aging potential. It results in an elegant cuvée, characterized by vibrant freshness and subtly brioched notes.

Tasting Notes :

Appearance : A beautiful soft golden color.

Nose : The aromatic palette unfolds with subtle nuances of toasted bread, citrus, and white flowers reminiscent of linden blossom.

Palate : Freshness is complemented by the delicate intensity of lemon zest. The aroma from the nose merge with deeper notes of warm brioche, revealing a harmonious balance and a structure of great distinction on the finish.

Assemblage : 60% Chardonnay, 30 % Pinot Noir et 10 % Meunier.

Four Rings will be offered exclusively in hotels, bars, and fine dining establishment.

MAISON WESSMAN’S EXPERTISE AT THE HEART OF THE PROJECT

Róbert Wessman is not a traditional winemaker. A visionary and bold entrepreneur from Iceland, he has built his career by taking on ambitious challenges, guided by a constant conviction : to push boundaries in order to create a lasting impact. His path is driven by innovation, high standards, and desire to break new ground.

For Róbert Wessman, wine is a language capable of telling the story of a place, conveying expertise, and expressing intention. True to his pioneering spirit, he set himself an ambitious challenge : to showcase the Bergerac region and create one of the great wines of tomorrow.

In 2016, the Maison Wessman wine project began to take shape, step by step. Each development is guided by the same exacting principle: selecting sites with strong identity, understanding their soils, and embedding every project in the history of the land. Today, Maison Wessman manages 86 hectares of vineyards, from Bergerac to Limoux, fully rooted in the French winemaking heritage.

ABOUT MAISON WESSMAN

Since its creation in 2016, Maison R. Wessman has firmly established itself within the French wine landscape, becoming a symbol of creativity and excellence. Located at the heart of the Périgord Pourpre terroir, it draws inspiration from the region’s millennia-old heritage while exploring other rich, sometimes overlooked, terroirs. The Château de Saint-Cernin, a centuries-old estate steeped in history, embodies the fusion of tradition and modernity. Perched on one of the highest points of the Issigeac plateau, it spans nearly 10 hectares and is renowned for its ability to produce exceptional wines. In 2021, the Maison expanded its footprint with the Vignoble des Verdots, a 55 hectares estate in the heart of Bergerac and Monbazillac, showcasing the excellence of a once-forgotten terroir. This contemporary vineyard produces wines that fully reflect their exceptional terroir and is known for its elegant reds and whites. At the same time, Maison Wessman manages the Bugalys vineyard in the Upper Limoux Valley at La Serpent, where parcels situated up to 400 meters in altitude benefit from a cool climate. These ideal conditions allow the production of Chardonnays of remarkable finesse, recognized among the finest in France.
