Diamantakis, Petali Assyrtiko 2021 PGI Crete
"Unoaked. Lemon and crushed stones but more fruity than typical Santorini Assyrtiko.Pure, cool and refreshing on the palate. This is lovely, lots of tension on the bone-dry finish." (JH) / Drink 2023 – 2027
Diamantopetra Vidiano / Assyrtiko 2022 PGI Crete
Aged in oak with a small percentage of new barrels.
"You can still detect the Vidiano character – more so than the Assyrtiko but the oak spice is also present. More obviously so on the palate, in both flavour and texture. Slightly sweet-sour finish even though I am pretty sure it is dry. Not yet fully meshed." (JH) / Drink 2024 – 2027
Diamantakis Vidiano 2022 PGI Crete
"Marked aroma of fresh pears, a little spicy and a suggestion of wild scrubland/herbs. Fresh, tight and pure on the palate. Very direct, pure expression of the variety. Long, too." (JH) / Drink 2023 – 2025
