Mendoza, January 2026. From the heart of the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Familia Millán announces the launch of a new addition to its renowned Cordero con Piel de Lobo line: Gran Cordero con Piel de Lobo Malbec, a wine that reflects the purest and most authentic expression of Argentina’s flagship grape variety.
A Malbec that challenges perceptions
“Not everything is what it seems, so perception becomes our best guide.” Based on this premise, Gran Cordero con Piel de Lobo Malbec emerges as a reserve wine positioned between the winery’s Perro Callejero and Pispi lines, stepping away from the flock to take on a leading role.
Its versatile character sets it apart within the Mendoza Malbec landscape.
Grape variety and winemaking
Gran Cordero con Piel de Lobo Malbec is a 100% Malbec wine from an early harvest, produced using grapes selected from different vineyards and harvested at varying stages of ripeness, resulting in distinct profiles in each case.
The wine was fermented in concrete tanks at low temperatures using the vineyard’s own yeasts to highlight the varietal expression.
Gentle extraction techniques helped preserve fruity aromas and balanced tannins.
It was aged it concrete tanks for 4 to 6 months.
Intense and Fruit-Forward
Gran Cordero con Piel de Lobo Malbec is an intense, fruit-forward wine with remarkable versatility.
On the palate, the wine unfolds with balanced acidity and a medium-bodied structure, culminating in a fresh, natural finish. Gentle filtration may result in natural sediment, reflecting its authentic character.
Suggested price: USD 15
