Black Chalk – one of the UK’s most exciting wine estates, described as “the Coco Chanel jacket of the sparkling-wine world”, by jancisrobinson.com’s Tamlyn Currin – will preview two new wines at Wine Paris, ahead of their official summer launch. Winemakers Jacob Leadley and Zoë Driver have disgorged a few bottles of these new additions to the portfolio, exclusively for Wine Paris visitors. The two new wines – their names are currently under wraps - have been created with a technical focus, with clonal selection paramount, and their launch will increase Black Chalk’s range to eight.
The Black Chalk team, including Sales Director, Neil Irvine, will also show the portfolio of current releases: their core sparkling wines, Classic 2022 and Wild Rose 2022 (released autumn 2025); Black Chalk’s still chardonnay from Kent, Rumour Has It 2024 (new release); and the second – and much anticipated – vintage of Black Chalk’s first premium sparkling wines: 2022 Inversion (Blanc de Noirs) and Paragon (Blanc de Blancs).
