Ten times Tre Bicchieri: with Lenza di Munti Etna DOC, Nicosia wins the coveted Gambero Rosso Award for the 10th consecutive year
And it makes ten! For the tenth year in a row, Tenute Nicosia has earned the prestigious Tre Bicchieri recognition from Gambero Rosso, once again with the Lenza di Munti 720 m Etna DOC Rosso, already acclaimed both in Italy and abroad.
A wine that encapsulates the very essence of Etna: the freshness and finesse of high-altitude grapes merge with the mineral strength of volcanic soils. The number “720” on the label tells the story of the average altitude of the vineyards from which the grapes are sourced - Nerello Mascalese (85%) and Nerello Cappuccio (15%) - giving life to an intense, harmonious red. The result is a perfect synthesis of elegance and territorial identity, a glass that expresses the most authentic voice of the volcano.

Ten consecutive recognitions that bear witness to the continuity, research, and passion of the Nicosia family, capable of interpreting Etna in all its nuances: from the high-altitude reds of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio in Lenza di Munti, to the freshness and immediacy of Vulkà, from the Rosso Riserva “Vecchie Viti” to the whites of Carricante.
And not to forget the first and only wine from Vittoria to be awarded back in 2017: that Nero d’Avola Riserva, which still today remains one of the finest expressions of Sicily’s most renowned grape variety worldwide, in its distinctive Iblean version.
