About LaGravera
LaGravera is a unique winery project located in the heart of Lleida, Spain, devoted to producing certified organic and biodynamic wines with a strong focus on landscape restoration and biodiversity. The winery is renowned for cultivating vineyards from three different centuries: the 19th, 20th, and 21st, including the historic El Vinyet plot planted in 1889. These vineyards feature ancestral local grape varieties, some of which are endangered, embodying the rich winemaking heritage of the region. The wines are unparalleled in the world for their composition and artisanal style.
LaGravera’s portfolio showcases the diversity and richness of the land, with 28 grape varieties planted on gypsum-rich soils, owing to the winery’s location near Europe’s longest gypsum mountain range. All wines are crafted with minimal intervention, employing spontaneous fermentations using wild yeasts and bacteria. This approach allows the terroir to be fully expressed, imbuing each wine with a distinctive character.
