The Port & Douro Wines Institute (IVDP) hosts 57 producers at Wine Paris, showcasing the extraordinary diversity and quality of the Douro, a region celebrated worldwide for its exceptional wines.
We invite visitors to our stand to explore a unique winegrowing region that produces both the iconic Port and the increasingly acclaimed Douro wines. The Douro’s remarkable mosaic of indigenous grape varieties and terroirs gives rise to a wide multiplicity of styles — from elegant whites and expressive reds to fresh rosés and, in Port, vibrant Rubies, aged Tawnies and renowned Vintage Ports.
This year, the Douro was honoured as “International Wine Region of the Year” at the Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards 2025, recognising the region’s consistency in quality, its cultural and landscape heritage, and its global significance in the world of wine.
Join us to taste this diversity, meet the producers, and discover the character, heritage and authenticity of the world’s oldest demarcated and regulated wine region.

Casa da Ressa is wine Family Estate business, located in Douro Valley in Portugal. Our vision is to produce premium wines in small batches reflecting the unique characteristics and strong identity of our terroir . Each bottle will tell the story of our land, our people and our values.
Geographic Wines aims to value our ancestral culture and terroir, preserving the old vineyards of the Douro and the indigenous grape varieties and wine-growing heritage of our country, Portugal. Our wines are produced by hand, with little intervention and a minimalist philosophy. Our wines must express each vineyard, they must be light and transparent but very complex. Nothing should mask the true character of the soils we work in, neither the barrels nor the over-ripeness of the grapes. Only healthy grapes are used, rich in acids and aromatic precursors. We pick the grapes at their peak of expression and character. Our grapes are healthy, without any manipulation or additives, and with no other objective than to express the authentic emotion and true character of the place where they are born. Each successive vintage has its own expression and will be a testament to Daniela and Nuno's vision of the regions where we produce wine, as well as their ongoing quest to produce elegant and expressive wines from each vineyard.

THE EXPERIENCE ACQUIRED IN FRANCE AND ABROAD ALLOWED JEAN-HUGUES GROS TO DEVELOP A PROFILE REGULARLY AWARDED BY THE INTERNATIONAL PRESS.
Pormenor, by the hand of our founder winemaker, Pedro Coelho, was born from a simple belief: that great wines come from patience, restraint, and a deep respect for nature. Our “less is more” philosophy guides every decision, from the vineyard to the bottle, allowing the character of each place to speak for itself.
We work with old vines — some over a century old — rooted in schist and granite at high altitudes across the Douro. These vineyards, scattered across different slopes and exposures, give us grapes with natural freshness and minerality, a rare balance in a region known for its warmth. Each parcel tells its own story, shaped by soil, altitude, and time.
In the cellar, we follow the same quiet approach. Gentle macerations, thoughtful ageing, and minimal intervention allow the wines to evolve at their own pace. The result is a collection of wines that share our signature elegance and purity, yet each carries its own personality — some more structured, others more delicate, all true to their origin.
Our wines are crafted to be enjoyed young, when their energy is vibrant, but they also have the depth and harmony to age gracefully. Above all, they reflect what we value most: authenticity, balance, and the unique voice of the Douro’s old vines.
Although the Quevedo Family has been producing Port Wine for more than 5 generations, the actual company was only founded in 1993. This makes us one of the most recent Port Wine Houses from the Douro. With less than 30 years of existence, we feel we are at the beginning of our journey and every day is a fresh page added to what we like to do most: explore all the ways wines can be enjoyed.
The Quevedo family’s lineage in viticulture traces back five generations. The first Quevedo vines were lovingly planted by Abel Gouveia Costa in 1889, in Valongo dos Azeites, S. João da Pesqueira. Abel’s legacy was carried forward by his son, Raul Gouveia Costa, who expanded the family’s wine business. The torch then passed to his son-in-law, João Batista Quevedo, who not only extended the vineyards to new estates but also instilled a profound love for winemaking in his son, Oscar Quevedo.Beatriz‘s family also had its roots in the Carrazeda district, contributing to the family’s rich viticultural heritage. Quinta da Alegria has been handed down through generations and continues to hold a pivotal position today.
By the end of the 1970′s, Oscar and Beatriz Quevedo decided to start a family at S. João Pesqueira, in the heart of the Douro Valley. Both descended from families with a long history in growing grapes and making Port wines. Oscar Sr. embarked on a mission to modernize the family’s winemaking facilities, eventually building the initial Quevedo winery, which is currently also undergoing expansion and remodeling. Over the years, the family has cultivated 100 hectares of vineyards and 25 hectares of organic olive groves, nurturing the land and their legacy. It wasn’t until 1993 that the Quevedo brand was officially founded, marking a new era for the family as they began bottling Port wines under their own label, thanks to Portugal’s entry into the EU in 1986.
Having grown between vines and barrels, Cláudia and Oscar Quevedo (Jr.) followed their parents’ steps into the family business. Cláudia Quevedo graduated in Enology at the University of Vila Real, in 1998. Since then, she makes the Port wines at Quevedo. Oscar Quevedo (Jr.), with a background in Economics and having worked in Finance in Switzerland and in Spain, joined the family in 2009. He currently oversees Quevedo’s sales operations across over 40 countries.
It doesn’t matter how well you work the grapes at the winery unless the origin of the grapes is the very best. The most important legacy that we received from our ancestors was the learning that wine is made in the vineyard. For this reason, we cultivate 100 hectares of vineyards, plus 25 hectares of organic olive groves, across five properties in the Douro valley, from the sub-regions of Cima Corgo. This diversity provides grapes of varying aromas and flavors that help us craft distinct wines and unforgettble experiences along the way. Our ancestors’ passion for viticulture and respect for the land around us drive us every day to cultivate a sustainable legacy for generations to come.
With deep respect for the environment and its natural cycles, we began growing our vines organically in 2012. Since then, we have gradually expanded our organic production area, drawing on ancient wisdom traditions while investing in state-of-the-art equipment. This has enabled us to progressively reduce the use of artificial chemicals on our other properties, minimizing our environmental impact and allowing the essence of the local territory to prevail. Our vineyard has become a sanctuary for beneficial insects, pollinators and native plants, providing a safe haven in the midst of the ever-expanding human footprint. This rich biodiversity is not just a spectacle to behold – it improves the health of our vineyards and, in turn, the quality of the wines you enjoy. Cheers!
THE ORIGINS Quinta da Devesa carries a long history. In 1844, the well-known Barão de Forrester, included this property in what was the first map of the Douro Demarcated Region. But the most important history of this property began in the last century, in 1941, when the Fortunato family acquired the property, thus starting a new phase of greater investment in wine production, with a special focus on Port wines. Later on, the Douro DOC still wines also became part of the portflio, which reinforced the presence in the national and international wine market. Quinta da Devesa continues today to be an independent family company, looking forward to the future, with presence in several international markets. The investment made in recent years managed to bring greater recognition from wine lovers and critics. The result of all this is also visible through the huge number of national and international awards achieved to date. THE LOCATION The rivers Corgo and Douro have been the landscape of Quinta da Devesa for a long time. And what a landscape! From the top of the vineyards and the imposing terraces, it is possible to observe the confluence of the two rivers, embraced by the hills and valleys of the magnificent Douro region. The property is located on the boundaries of the Baixo and Cima Corgo sub-regions, in the parish of Canelas. THE TERROIR The Quinta has 30 hectares of vineyards planted at 50-500 meters altitude, with North, South and West exposures, giving the winemaker, Luís Rodrigues, many different micro-climates to work with. This allows many hours of sunshine in the vineyards facing South to be balanced by the freshness guaranteed from the North facing slopes. This complexity of growing conditions means grapes mature at different times in the year, allowing better management of the harvest. All wines from Quinta da Devesa are produced exclusively from grapes grown on the estate. All the vineyards are farmed under a system of minimum intervention called ‘Integrated Production Management’. Since 2016, Quinta da Devesa vineyards have been managed under the principles of Integrated Production Management (sometimes referred to as Integrated Crop Protection), a rigorous regime which strives for minimum intervention in the vineyard. In practice this means restricting as far as possible the type and quantity of treatments applied to the vines for the control of pests and diseases. Prevention is key and data is gathered from our field personnel. The information obtained is used to undertake risk-analysis of potential threats to the vines and in order to avoid the need for aggressive treatments.
Quinta da Pedra Alta, located above the Pinhão River in the highest part of Cima Corgo, is one of the "new wave" of Portuguese producers making wines and Ports in an "approachable Douro" style. Our philosophy "Faith in the Land Since 1761" reflects the estate's long history, which is home to three granite markers (Feitoria). One of the real strengths on the 35-hectare site is the variety of vineyard altitudes (230 to 550m) and breadth of indigenous grape varieties. We'll be showing our full range of white, rosé & red table wines as well as White, 10YO Tawny, Vintage Ports and introducing our new 20Yr-Old-Tawny.
