Fondo Antico is a family-owned organic winery that was founded in 1995 and includes 80 hectares of vineyards, from 0 to 450 mt above sea level, with a soil made up of calcareous and medium structure.
From the beginning the philosophy of Fondo Antico was to promote the authentic Sicilian Fine Wine style through the use of indigenous vine species - Grillo, Nero d'Avola, Carricante, Nerello Mascalese, Perricone and Zibibbo - and to respect our terroir.
Like the branch of coral for the people of Trapani, so each wine represents for us a precious gem to be treated with care and valued, a priceless gift to be protected. An apotropaic symbol and local source of livelihood between the 14th and 15th centuries, coral became a graphic representation of the company's philosophy, becoming Fondo Antico's logo.
The aim of each vintage has always been to respect and preserve the characteristics of a unique and precious terroir.
