The Cave de Ribeauvillé is above all a family affair, a matter of passion. For 6 generations of winegrowers, 80% of these families have remained the same, a tradition that has been handed down for over a century. The House is owned by its winegrowers, who own 100% of the vineyard plots, ensuring total authenticity. The Cave de Ribeauvillé buys neither grapes nor wine, and harvests only by hand. Voted "Winery of the Year" by the Revue des Vins de France, but also by Wine&Spirits USA, Weinwirtshaft deutschland and AWC Vienne. La Cave de Ribeauvillé always stands out for the quality of its wines, its values and its men and women in the vineyards and in the cellar. The Cave de Ribeauvillé was the first cooperative structure created in France in 1895, in the heart of the Alsace wine route, the cradle of exceptional terroirs. In Ribeauvillé, we inherit 245 ha of vines in 7 Grands Crus, 8 lieux dits and 3 village appellations close to our Cave. Among these terroirs, a gift from "Mother Nature", our House has a monopoly on the fabulous Clos du Zahnacker, a 124-acre historic gem in the heart of the Osterberg Grand Cru. The success of the Cave de Ribeauvillé is based on our own demanding and restrictive quality charter, guaranteeing sustainable agriculture with a drastic limitation on yields. The very strict plot selection process supervised by our oenologist Mrs. Evelyne Bleger-Cognacq allows us to make wines of the highest quality.
