The Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association (JSS) is a non-profit organization that consists of sake and shochu producers throughout Japan.
Our members include producers of sake, honkaku shochu, awamori, and hon mirin. The association was formed in 1953, under the "Act on Securing of Liquor Tax and on Liquor Business Associations".
As of December 2025, JSS is affiliated with 1,611 members, which include 1,335 sake breweries, 265 shochu distilleries, and 12 mirin makers under 47 regional associations.
