The Arizcuren family has cultivated vineyards on the eastern slopes of the Sierra de Yerga - one of Rioja’s highest and most iconic areas - for over a century. Our legacy spans at least five generations of viticulturalists and still today underpins the Arizcuren project, blending tradition and innovation in every bottle.

We use certified organic methods, along with some biodynamic practices, to cultivate our Mazuelo, Viura and Garnacha grapes. We’re also working to revive forgotten varieties such as Calagraño, Tinta Velasco and Miguel de Arco, which are still growing in plots planted by our ancestors and which we believe have huge potential for enriching Rioja’s diversity.

Though our production is small (25,000 bottles a year), our impact is large. Our wines sell in over 20 countries and in dozens of Michelin starred restaurants, as well as having won acclaim from critics such as Tim Atkin MW, James Suckling and Sarah Jane Evans MW, who has described Arizcuren as “one of Rioja’s innovators”.

We are passionate about producing top-quality wines that bring out the most natural characteristics of our region, knowing how to boost their qualities and using the minimal intervention approach throughout the production process.

These ideas are achieved through shallow soils, on hillside, with little organic matter and only the necessary water supply, in this way the grape produced by the plant is a true reflection of its character, expressed in grape of maximum expression and in wines with own personality. Old vineyards, harvested by hand,, the vinification is made with the minimal intervention, patience and care. Small and exclusive production.

Familia Martínez Bujanda is a family group formed by 5 different wineries with a common denominator, the philosophy to always vinify our wines form our own vineyards located in privileged areas.

Finca Valpiedra, (Rioja) in the best area of the appellation, one of the Spain's great terroirs. Viña Bujanda, (Rioja), owns 127 ha. of vineyards in different plots. Finca Antigua (La Mancha), this vineyards has given us the freedom to innovate with new grape varieties and new styles of wine. Finca Montepedroso (Rueda), has 25 ha. of vineyards at 750 m of altitude and there we elaborate two white wines 100% Verdejo variety other of the Spain’s great terroirs. Cosecheros & Criadores wines have a great diversity of styles and presentations that allows them to cover almost the whole market segment.

Située à  Briones, au cœur de la Rioja Alta, Finca Allende interprète le terroir avec une vision contemporaine, empreinte de précision, d'élégance et d'une viticulture profondément durable. Depuis 1995, sous l'impulsion de Miguel Ángel de Gregorio, le domaine cultive une mosaïque de vieilles vignes sur de petites parcelles de sols argilo-calcaires et de graves profondes, sans herbicides, grâce à une fertilisation organique et un travail mécanique du sol qui préservent la vie du sol et l'équilibre naturel du vignoble.

Les vendanges manuelles et la double sélection garantissent la pureté des raisins avant une vinification douce, combinant cuves inox et fûts de chêne. L'élevage en fûts de chêne français et la mise en bouteille sans filtration permettent à chaque vin de conserver l'authenticité de son origine.

De cette philosophie naissent des vins d'une grande finesse et d'un caractère exceptionnel, tels qu'Aurus, Calvario, Mártires, Marure, Gaminde et Mingortiz – expressions uniques de parcelles historiques. Avec une production limitée et une présence dans plus de quarante pays, Finca Allende est devenue une référence de la Rioja moderne.

Viña Ijalba was founded in 1975 by Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba, with the planting of the firm's first vineyard in the vicinity of Logroño. The winery was built in 1991. 

Viña Ijalba currently has 93 hectares of its own vineyards in various areas around Logroño and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The originality of the vineyard is that it is planted on abandoned opencast mines that have been recovered from an environmental point of view. In all our own vineyards we have been practising organic cultivation since 1994, obtaining the first organic wine in the Rioja region in 1999.

We use the traditional grape varieties of Rioja, researching the development of wines with minority native varieties. As a result of this work, Viña Ijalba presented the first Graciano varietal wine in the history of Rioja in 1995, the first Maturana Blanca wine in 2001 and the first Maturana Tinta wine in the world in 2002. In 2006 the first Tempranillo Blanco wine was presented at the same time as the first Tempranillo Blanco wine in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja.

The winery has an air-conditioned underground ageing cellar with 1400 barrels.
