The Domeco de Jarauta family has been crafting artisanal wines for more than a century and across generations, pioneering the elaboration of quality wines in the Rioja Oriental and recognized since the Barcelona Universal Exhibition of 1888.

Unlike most Rioja wineries, we are proud to rely exclusively on our family vineyards. An area of 100 ha. with an average age of 35 years that we preserve and care for with care until harvesting, giving our wines a uniqueness and special quality characteristic of the lands where it is located, all of them belonging to the D.O.Ca. Rioja.

We control the entire process, from grape to bottle, and our goal is to produce modern-style, high-quality Rioja wines with a strong commitment to sustainability and traditional winemaking practices and consistently despite vintage variations.

Bodegas Tarón est une cave coopérative historique située dans la Rioja Alta, au pied des montagnes d’Obarenes. Réunissant plus de 200 familles de viticulteurs des villages de Cuzcurrita, Sajazarra, Tirgo et Villaseca, la cave représente l’un des paysages viticoles les plus authentiques de la Rioja.

Avec des vignobles allant de parcelles de Tempranillo en gobelet âgées de 30 ans à des domaines centenaires véritablement uniques, Bodegas Tarón associe une viticulture traditionnelle à une philosophie œnologique moderne, axée sur la pureté du fruit. La gamme comprend des vins blancs, rosés et rouges, ainsi que des cuvées en production limitée telles que Tarón Cepas Centenarias et Pantocrátor, qui ont obtenu une reconnaissance internationale exceptionnelle (Decanter, IWC, IWSC, Tim Atkin).

La mission de la cave est de capturer l’identité du Territorio Tarón, en exprimant l’héritage, le paysage et le caractère de ce coin historique de la Rioja à travers des vins élégants, équilibrés et capables de vieillir avec harmonie.

Viña Ijalba was founded in 1975 by Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba, with the planting of the firm's first vineyard in the vicinity of Logroño. The winery was built in 1991. 

Viña Ijalba currently has 93 hectares of its own vineyards in various areas around Logroño and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The originality of the vineyard is that it is planted on abandoned opencast mines that have been recovered from an environmental point of view. In all our own vineyards we have been practising organic cultivation since 1994, obtaining the first organic wine in the Rioja region in 1999.

We use the traditional grape varieties of Rioja, researching the development of wines with minority native varieties. As a result of this work, Viña Ijalba presented the first Graciano varietal wine in the history of Rioja in 1995, the first Maturana Blanca wine in 2001 and the first Maturana Tinta wine in the world in 2002. In 2006 the first Tempranillo Blanco wine was presented at the same time as the first Tempranillo Blanco wine in the Autonomous Community of La Rioja.

The winery has an air-conditioned underground ageing cellar with 1400 barrels.

ZINIO reflects the purity of our grapes from Uruñuela, the town of the "cigüeñeros" (storks).

Based on Tempranillo and Tempranillo Blanco, the hallmarks of the DOCa Rioja, we have created a series of wines that transmit the soul of our land.

They are distinguished by a typical character of our terroir, which translates into balanced wines, with structure and supported by a great intensity of fruit.
