About

To have you discover and love our Chablis and Burgundy wines, is to share the enthusiasm we are all about. Member of the Independent Winegrowers of France, Baudouin Millet has created wines of distinction, renowned for their finesse, elegance and excellent French wine practices. Born of rigorous efforts and perseverance, our wines are consumed for pleasure and conviviality. As an aperitif, and with shellfish, crustaceans, fish and white meats… flavourful wine-food pairings are numerous. Experience the passion synonymous with Great Burgundy wines by letting us introduce you to our winery. Producers of Chablis AOC Philippe Millet, a young Beauceron farmer, settles down at Ferme de Marcault in Tonnerre in the mid-60s. In the early-80s, he creates a wine estate when some of the land he cultivates for cereals is available for AOC Petit Chablis. He then plants 9 hectares of Petit Chablis, and acquires vines in AOC Chablis and AOC Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin. In addition to producing exceptional grapes, he decides to vinify and market them. Now that he is retired, it is his son, Baudouin Millet who manages and continues to expand the winery. Baudouin Millet In 1998, as a graduate of École Supérieur de Commerce with experience derived from working for a large French food conglomerate, I arrive at the estate. Several years later, my father entrusts the estate to me, but continues to give me his invaluable advice. The winery continues to evolve. Today it comprises almost 16 hectares: 9 in AOC Petit Chablis, 4 in AOC Chablis, 1 in Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin, and since 2020, 1.75 in AOC Bourgogne Chardonnay. THE ESTATE’S PHILOSOPHY Every day the estate’s team puts their heart into cultivating exceptional vines, producing Chardonnay grapes of the highest quality and offering wines with fine and elegant aromas reflecting the terroir of the Chablis region. Our estate is renowned for its wines The work of Domaine Millet has been recognized many times over. Thus, our wines have acquired a solid reputation in respect to vinification, richness of aromas and consistency of our vintages. Annual recognition: Concours des Vignerons Indépendants, Concours des Grands Vins de France de Mâcon, Concours Mondial des Vins Féminalise, Concours des Burgondia, Guide Hachette et Guide Gilbert & Gaillard. Press: Le Point, Bourgogne Aujourd'hui. An independent winegrower with HEV (High Environment Value) certification We are proud to have been a member of Independent Winegrowers since the estate’s creation and to carry this inspirational charter: Respect your terroir, work your vines, harvest your grapes, vinify and age your wine, bottle your production in your cellar, market your products, improve your skills while respecting tradition, welcome people to and guide them through tastings. Finally, take pleasure in presenting the fruit of your labour and its culture. It is in this quest for excellence that in 2020, we obtained the HEV (High Environmental Value) certification.
