It all started when Ali Basman head of Kavaklidere (a Turkish family-owned wine producing company since 1929) met Stéphane Derenoncourt in 2008. Eight years later, the former decided to put Kavaklidere’s know-how developed over four generations to the test of the Castillon terroir with the purchase of Château La Croix Lartigue followed by its neighboring estate Château Claud Bellevue in 2018.
