This session will reveal why South Africa is one of the most compelling and forward-thinking wine countries today. The guided tasting will explore six expressive wines from three pioneering estates, each chosen to highlight the unique landscapes, philosophies, and innovations influencing South Africa’s wine identity. Creation Wines from the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge will present two cool-climate classics.
Known for precision, balance, and elegant structure, these wines reflect Creation’s commitment to sustainability, biodiversity, and community-focused development. Their wines show how altitude, ocean winds, and careful farming practices combine to deliver purity and finesse. Fryer’s Cove, situated just meters from the Atlantic Ocean, will showcase the intense character of true marine viticulture. coastal-influenced wines express the raw, windswept beauty of the West Coast through bracing freshness, minerality, and a distinct maritime signature found nowhere else in South Africa. Reyneke Wines, based in Stellenbosch, will introduce wines rooted in biodynamic and regenerative agriculture.
Their sustainably farmed wines exemplify how healthy soils, natural ecosystems, and chemical-free farming practices yield wines of clarity, energy, and authenticity. To enhance the tasting experience, the session will incorporate sensory elements, allowing guests to savour the wine while also connecting with the physical environment that influenced it.
