Co-exhibitor of Wines of Georgia - National Wine Agency
The history of Chelti Winery dates back to the previous century when, in the heart of the Kakheti region, in the village of Shilda, the ancestors of the Mirian-ashvili family built their first wine cellar. The family tradition was revived in 2001 through the initiative of Giorgi Mirianashvili, the Founder and Chief Winemaker of Chelti Winery. The estate remains family-owned, with Giorgi Mirian-ashvili at the helm, while his children, Ana and Andria Mirianashvili, manage its operations.
Currently, the estate spans 80 hectares, comprising vineyards, traditional Georgian and classical cellars, an underground wine storage facility, and a tourist complex. Chelti produces wines using both ancient Georgian tradition in qvevri (clay vessel) dating back 8000 years and classical methods.
Chelti Winery is now represented in 27 countries worldwide.
