The von Othegraven winery is one of the oldest estates in the Saar region and has been family-owned since 1805. It was a founding member of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP).

In 2010, Günther Jauch and his wife took over the winery and are now the 7th generation to lead the estate. Günther Jauch's grandmother was born as “von Othegraven”.

The wines, mainly out of Riesling vines, are prepared by the excellent cellar master Swen Klinger: manual work in the vineyards and controlled inactivity in the cellar are the key ingredients for expressing the different personality of each wine.

The vines grow in some of the most prestigious sites of the Saar valley including the amphitheater-like Ockfener Bockstein, the historical Wawern Großer Herrenberg and the famous Wiltinger Kupp.

Each of them contains its own unique slate soil and distinctive microclimate, coming together as grand terroir.

The monumental Kanzemer Altenberg, situated directly behind the cellar, is the crown jewel of our estate. It is among the steepest sites in the world and, at 250 m in length, one of the longest of its type anywhere.

The von Othegraven wines are known and appreciated for their individual character, fresh, lively, complex with high aging potential.

Le domaine viticole von Othegraven est l'un des plus anciens de la Sarre et est une entreprise familiale depuis 1805. Il a été membre fondateur de l'association des domaines viticoles allemands de qualité (VDP).

Les vins, issus principalement de vignes de Riesling, sont élaborés par l'excellent maître de chai Swen Klinger : le travail manuel dans les vignes et l'inactivité contrôlée en cave sont les ingrédients clés pour exprimer la personnalité différente de chaque vin.

Les vignes poussent dans certains des sites les plus prestigieux de la vallée de la Sarre, notamment l'Ockfener Bockstein, un amphithéâtre, l'historique Wawern Großer Herrenberg et le célèbre Wiltinger Kupp.

Chaque vin possède son propre sol d'ardoise unique et son microclimat distinctif, formant un grand terroir.
