Vignoble Jean Médeville is a family-owned estate founded in 1826, nearly two centuries ago, and rooted in Cadillac, south of Bordeaux.
For eight generations, the estate’s story has been shaped—much like Bordeaux itself—along both banks of the Garonne River. From Graves to Entre-Deux-Mers, via Sauternes and the hillsides of Cadillac, each property has its own identity, terroir, and character.
Today, the vineyard covers 130 hectares, forming a true mosaic of terroirs. This diversity allows for the production of a wide range of dry white, red, rosé, clairet, sweet and sparkling wines, crafted under eight appellations: Bordeaux, Graves, Cadillac, Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, Sauternes, Entre-Deux-Mers, Crémant and Premières Côtes.
Today, the siblings — Charles, Anne and Clémence — have joined their father and uncle at the estate, together embodying the 8th generation of Vignobles Jean Médeville & Fils. Guided by seven generations of expertise and passion, they uphold a transgenerational vision of wine, combining tradition, innovation and commitment, with a constant focus on quality and consistency.
aConvinced that wine is above all a product of connection, sharing and joy, Vignobles Jean Médeville & Fils are always delighted to welcome professionals and wine lovers to Château Fayau, the estate’s historic home, or to accompany partners in the field, in France and abroad.
