Vieira de Sousa is a boutique family producer of Douro and Porto wines, proudly carrying forward a long-standing tradition in Porto wine production that now spans five generations. In 2008, as the new generation took over (led by Luísa and later joined by Maria), we began bottling and selling our wines under our own brand: Vieira de Sousa.

Over the years, we have expanded our portfolio and increased our presence in international markets. 

All our wines, both Porto and Douro, are crafted exclusively from grapes grown in our nearly 70 hectares of vineyards, spread across several Quintas along the Douro River. This diversity of terroirs allows us to produce a wide range of exceptional wines each year.

Complementing our annual production, we are proud to hold a remarkable stock of aged Porto wines. 

In 2022, our dedication to quality and tradition was recognised when we were named Fortified Wine Producer of the Year by Revista de Vinhos.
