VENDRAME VIGNIS DEL DOGE is located in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in the small village of Passariano di Codroipo (UD) right in front of one of the most prestigious ancient mansions of the area Villa MANIN. The beautiful villa has been the summer retreat of the last Doge, head of Venice at the times of its splendor years as a Republican Marine State back in the 16 thand 17 thcentury.

The estate counts 50 hectars of vineyards, with mostly white varieties (Pinot grigio, Sauvignon, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Verduzzo Friulano, Chardonnay, Malvasia, Prosecco) but also reds such Refosco dal peduncolo rosso, Merlot, Cabernet Franc) and a wine from overriped vintage grapes MORO. We are a family business using exclusively grapes from our land.

The area of production is DOC FRIULI .

In our wine estate we apply the procedures of integrated pest management system and our wines have the VEGAN certifications as well as the SQNPI. From this year we have joined the “ENO-BEE”.

THE BRAND

The land we own was once property of Ludovico Manin, last Doge of the millennial Repubblica di Venezia. In the 1600’s villa Manin was an agricultural area of great importance with vast vineyards called “VIGNIS” (now of our property) and an equipped wine cellar part of the villa. The name of the brand VENDRAME VIGNIS DEL DOGE blends our surname with a tribute of the old name VIGNIS and the CORNO DOGALE which is the symbol of the Doge dynasty. Present meets the past which heads to the future in respect of innovation and ancient wine traditions from the lands we are lucky to live in.

VENDRAME WINE DESIGN

The restyling of the label has been inspired by the garden map of the ancient Villa Manin of the Venice Doge, whose vineyards still produce the grapes for the wines we make. The golden tones with "braille" effect are an homage to the beauty of the gardens of Italian Renaissance period, in particular those from the opulent Republic of Venice, with a modern light touch.
