Established in 1780, with winemaking roots dating back to 1620, Van Zellers & Co is the Oldest Family in Port. From pioneering the first maritime wine trade routes between Portugal and the Baltic states in the 18th century to crafting some of the world’s most sought-after Ports and Douro wines, we have been at the forefront of the region’s rich viticultural heritage.

Today, the 15th generation—Francisca and João van Zeller—stands alongside Cristiano van Zeller, the 14th generation, blending the wisdom of centuries with the innovation of the present. Together, they carry forward the family’s commitment to limited production, crafting wines that reflect the Douro’s diversity and unique terroir.

In 2023, we proudly bottled close to 90,000 bottles, each a testament to our dedication to quality over quantity.
