Co-exhibitor of Wines of Hungary
The Szekszárd Bottle alliance unites leading wineries from the Szekszárd wine region to showcase its rich winemaking heritage. The hallmark of this collaboration is its focus on the region's signature wines—Kadarka, Kékfrankos, and Bikavér. Only wines selected through rigorous monthly blind tastings by member wineries earn the right to be bottled in the Szekszárd Bottle, which features a unique design with the Szekszárd logo on its neck. This initiative highlights family-driven values, respect for tradition, and innovative winemaking, embodying the true essence of Szekszárd.
aaaaaaThe following 5 members will represent the Szekszárd Bottle Community in Paris:
- Eszterbauer Winery - "Good stories begin with a glass of wine."
We have plenty to share: our ancestors have been cultivating the hills of Szekszárd since 1746,
a legacy we honor with family photos and stories on our wine labels—sometimes humorous, sometimes touching.
Our selection focuses on red wines, with local varieties like Kadarka, Kékfrankos, and Bikavér
showcasing the region's diversity, while international varieties achieve global success.

aaaaa- Szeleshát Wine Estate - Szeles-hát is a single vineyard, which has it own microclimate, that is very windy.
Szeles-hát means in Hungarian „windy ridge”. The loess soil is also very important factor as it contains extremly high amount of red clay that makes the area perfect for red wine making.
THE ESTATE
This fully abandoned area was replanted by our family from 2001 till 2019. Today, we cultivate 55 hectares of vineyards. The mostly grown varieties are Kékfrankos, Merlot and Cabernet franc. We create the Szeleshát wines in our new and modern cellar in a traditional way, respecting the local varieties, aging our wines in hungarian oak barrels, and to have a perfect balance, we age them in bottle for minimum a year.
