Sangenís i Vaqué is a family winery in the heart of Priorat, in the village of Porrera. Our roots go back seven generations of growers and winemakers on both the maternal and paternal sides—two wine-producing families always linked to Porrera. In 1978, Pere Sangenís and Conxita Vaqué founded the winery with a clear focus: crafting wines exclusively from our own vineyards. We farm 16 hectares, all located in Porrera, on the region’s distinctive llicorella slate soils, and we are strongly committed to native varieties: Grenache and Carignan, plus a white Grenache. We work organically, with the utmost respect for nature and the landscape. Our DOQ Priorat range is broad, from fresher, fruit-forward and lighter styles to deeper, structured wines with unmistakable Priorat identity—released only after the bottle ageing we believe they truly need.
