Located in Chablis, Domaine L&C Poitout was born from the enthusiasm of Catherine and Louis Poitout. On the Jurassic terroirs of Chablis Kimmeridgian and Portlandian, they have succeeded in highlighting a carefully selected mosaic of the highest-quality plots. These vineyards are spread across the villages of Chablis, Maligny, Villy, Lignorelles, Fleys and Chichée, as well as Tonnerre, covering a total surface area of 21 hectares.

The appellations produced include Bourgogne Tonnerre, Bourgogne Rouge, Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru Les Fourneaux, Chablis Premier Cru Vaucoupin, as well as, exclusively, an exceptional ungrafted Chardonnay (Chardonnay Franc de Pied).

The unwavering commitment of the entire Domaine Poitout winemaking team has enabled the estate to move steadily toward more environmentally responsible practices. Ongoing efforts in soil management, the reintroduction of biodiversity, reduced use of inputs, and control of the carbon footprint reflect the estate’s core philosophy. At the Poitout family estate, the motto is: “If the vine thrives, everything thrives.”

Thoughtful expansion, growing recognition, and the acknowledged quality of Domaine L&C Poitout wines have led to the creation of two distinct wine ranges. “Parcellaire” and “Sélection” each have their own identity, vinified and signed by Louis Poitout.
