Nifo Sarrapochiello is a family-run winery, located in Ponte, Campania. The history of this place has always had to do with the cultivation of vines, and so has that of our family. We are located in Sannio, a region that extends between the Matese massif and Mount Taburno, and in our vineyards we grow the native grape varieties of the area: Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, Aglianico and Camaiola. We have been practicing organic farming since 1998 and, in the same year, we vinified our grapes for the first time. Through our wines, we want to tell our story and that of Sannio: a story of agriculture, family and territory.
Before being wine producers, we are winemakers. Our work begins in the vineyard and is based on experience. From choosing the right vine for each plot, depending on the type of soil and the different exposure and altitude of the vineyards, to field operations, such as green manuring and organic fertilization, all agricultural practices are carried out manually and have the objective of safeguarding fertility soil and the promotion of biodiversity. The commitment and daily care we dedicate to our vineyards is reflected in the excellence of the grapes we bring to the cellar. Only by starting from a raw material of absolute quality, and through careful and respectful winemaking, we believe we can bring our interpretation of a fruit and a vintage and the faithful expression of a territory into the glass.
