The Masi family has been making wine for three generations. From the beginning until now the leading philosophy which has distinguished our work has always been the same: producing wines with an excellent quality- price relationship.  To obtain this,  year after year we have searched for and selected the producers who can guarantee a constant high-standard quality level and we have created a long-term relationship of cooperation with them including our consultation on how to manage the vineyard with the aim of reaching the highest quality. About our work we have been said: "The role of the negociant is scarcely understood in Italy(.. . ). Yet the activity needs to be done well. At present we produce a wide range of items going from the entry level red and white wines to the Riserva and Super Tuscans all by using grapes and wines coming from Rufina and its surroundings  as well as from other suited areas of Tuscany and Italy.

Fattoria di Basciano is the estate owned by the Masi family since the beginning of 1900. It is located right in the heart of the Chianti Rufina area on the top of a hill overlooking the Agomenna valley on one side and the right bank of the Sieve river on the other. The vineyards are at an elevation of 300 mtrs. on sea level lying on a very stony soil locally known as "Galestro". The micro-climateis ideal for the ripening of the grapes. It is dry and breeze marked by scarcity of rain and a remarkable range of night and day temperatures in summertime. The extension of the property is 75 Ha totally of which 35 Ha vineyard and 20 Ha of oliveyard. The ownership has always been engaged in a program of researches to reach the highest quality level. These efforts lead us to invest consistently by planting new vineyards and building a new winery for the vinification and the ageing in barrel of the wine.
