Co-exhibitor of CIVL-CONSEIL INTERPROFESSIONNEL VINS DU LANGUEDOC
Since 2014 Sophie and Fredy have been growing and vinifying the harvest in the estate's old cellar, after 3 generations. The vineyard is worked in organic farming, respecting the plant and the soil.
Wines that express the Terroir, the influence of rich biodiversity in a preserved natural environment, in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac Appellation.
In the South of France, 25km west of Montpellier, on the edge of scrubland, Mas de Capdaniel is surrounded by a natural setting of Mediterranean vegetation.
The estate comprises 15 hectares in one piece, with a varied grape variety, typical of the Mediterranean terroir: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Grenache gris for the only white grape variety to date. The vinifications are plot-based.
The fifty-year-old vines are planted on soil of sedimentary, clay-limestone and pebble origin, and offer low yields.
Landscape bordered by the foothills of Larzac, the climatic influence of this relief tempers the Mediterranean heat, and provides the freshness that we find in the wines.
AOC Terrasses du Larzac wines, and IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-désert.
