Maison Ginestet was founded by Fernand Ginestet in 1897. Our Maison proudly bears the name of its founder, and continues to perpetuate his ambition to make Bordeaux wines shine throughout the world. Our Maison has developed an expertise over centuries in the promotion and distribution of great Bordeaux wines. Our ageing cellar, a unique sanctuary for rare bottles, houses several million bottles crafted to provide unforgettable emotions to the lucky tasters. The close ties we have forged with the most prestigious estates also enable us to identify the « rising stars » of tomorrow. These are wines that are not yet well known and that our teams select for their quality and their typicality. We then present these “rising stars” to our distributors, who, with us, are a faithful relay between the winemaker and the wine lover. Our knowledge of the markets and our expertise in the world of Grands Crus, inspire us to develop core products under our signature. In the purest Maison Ginestet tradition, these creations are all intended to arouse emotion and give pleasure to those who taste them
The Groupe Taillan (turnover of €210 million, 350 employees) was founded by Jacques Merlaut in 1961 and operates on every continent. It is now run by his son Denis Merlaut and his children, who represent the third generation involved in the group.

With an international reputation and considered an expert in fine wines, the Taillan Group owns 18 estates and châteaux (covering more than 600 hectares) in Bordeaux, the Loire Valley and Cahors.
Among the most famous are Gruaud Larose (2nd cru classé), Château Citran (cru bourgeois) and Château Broustet (2nd cru classé).

It is in the heart of the Loire Valley vineyard that in 1927, driven by his passion for vine and wine, Joseph Verdier founded his company. It has developed from generation to generation to become in the mid-sixties a nationally-recognized Loire Valley wine trading house. In 1965, after joining forces with the Bordeaux group Taillan, the company becomes expert on international markets and keeps progressing in France remaining connected to the soil and the vine.
